@neso_energy Scotland and Ireland consume around 11 bcm (billion cubic metres) of gas per year while 17.4 bcm from the North Sea pipelines came into Northern Scotland alone in 2024. Over 6 bcm had to go south after Moffat. Do the maths! Irish pipeline gas is North Sea gas, not fracked gas!

UK's System Operator @neso_energy confirmed "NTS compression does not currently support the transport of gas to the high-demand parts of Scotland from the southern zones or from the zone’s more southerly terminals at Teesside & Barrow" meaning no UK fracked gas comes to Ireland!

The 2023 energy security package was his policy. why have people stopped reading government documents. The article was written without any meaningful Knowledge of the area. Lazy!

Take the Limerick-Cork motorway for example - nothing happened with this project when he was minister - except delaying tactics in redesign to put in a cycle lane.

The Ditch condemns yesterday’s arrest and charge of activists at Shannon Airport protesting the unlawful use of Irish sovereign airspace to transport munitions to Israel. The Ditch submitted a complaint to the Garda Ombudsman today.
