Socks are an absolute must with sandals, whatever gender, whatever the weather. comfort, style and statement.
Amjad Ali@TeachLeadAAli

@StarlightMcKenz For me, ha totally clear this is mansplaining??? No tights. Socks/tights and sandals is a bad look for any gender? 🙃

@jo3grace I vaguely recall someone giving a talk on the electrical signals generated by plants years ago @DorkbotLondon. Wish I could remember more of it

@WetFishWorms The plant produces electrical signals which are picked up by the subpack and turned into vibration, as you interact with the plant your own signals intermingle

That particular school is haemorrhaging kids, especially #SEND and yet they are rated good @EstynHMI

Hoping the next words are 'But now......' Accessing nature shouldn't have to be an either/or. Saying that, sensory gardens can be easily accessible, wonderful spaces. Great for happiness in terms of spending time outdoors with others and depending on the design, can be 'real'.
Joanna Grace PhD@jo3grace

Nebelong (2015) historically the first sensory gardens were created for residential homes for children and young people with multiple disabilities who were unable to go out and experience ‘real’ nature.

And as a follow up, I think these IR controllers for cheap LED lights should be hackable to make accessible and give instant feedback

Wondering if your current research on sensory rooms is looking as a whole or effectiveness of individual elements? @jo3grace

Sorry - it might just be me - but surely an "SEN Plan with reigour" IS an #ehcp ? What else is it, because the Code and the Statute seems to forget to mention it. #sen #send twitter.com/tes/status/109…
Tes magazine@tes

Chris Harrison, director SEND4Change, says fundamental problem is that there is not a consistent understanding of SEN support. If parents had a SEN support plan with rigour may be less inclined to ask for EHC plan #send #edselcttee

Plans are not legally binding, unfortunately legal recourse is needed when even the best laid plans are not implemented
StarlightMcKenzie@StarlightMcKenz

@tes Parents don’t want a plan of any kind. Parents want support that matches need with built in partnership working and accountability measures that can’t simply be removed without warning. That is what they want. Not a plan. Plans are not Outcomes.

Was out on the beach with my daughter yesterday, bright sunshine and snow on the hills, biting cold wind. Discovering patches of warmer sand short lived #sensory relief

And you can say that needs are being met, full inclusion, when clearly neither are true #SEND
Mr Brown@MisterGBrown

@AspieDeLaZouch @EmmaHardyMP I think it is about decisions made at school level. You can be inclusive and spend the budget on high needs pupils with or without ECHP’s or you can tell parents their needs can’t be met and hope they go elsewhere. #15 hours

@jo3grace I don't think it was a universally liked pudding😀 my memory of it was very different to the watery pudding out of a tin we had yesterday. After all these years finally discovered what it is made of tho

@WetFishWorms When I was at school we used to have that. Someone poured theirs into my coat sleeve, I only discovered it when I put my coat on.

Pagliano (2001) the snoezelen concept provided the opportunity for the emergence of the MSE industry. The commercial interests of this industry can drive provision more than a genuine desire to achieve valued outcomes for individuals with disabilities (4)

Can you spot today's clothing choice? Also featured: the biggest sausage I've ever attempted to eat, (provided by today's school) and a good weather quote from TFL.
