Thanks to Wexford Library yesterday for hosting an event to mark the official deposit by members of the Ryan family of a portrait of Dr James Ryan in @WexArchives. The painting by Irish artist, James Sleator, was commissioned in late 1943 by Dr Ryan's friends in Co. Wexford to

Following Team Ireland’s success at the recent Paris Olympics, a reception to honour Sophie Becker’s achievements will be held next Wednesday, 28th August at 5.30pm in Pearse Park, New Ross. Sophie has represented Ireland at the Olympic games, the World Championships and the 2024 European Athletics Championships where she won a silver medal as a member of the Irish Women’s 4x400m relay team. Everyone is invited to come along and wear the Irish colours to celebrate with Sophie!
