My roommate is pregnant and I don’t know how to tell her that I don’t want the baby in our apartment We are both in our mid twenty’s, I’m still in Uni und she’s working (I’m not sure what she does but it’s something where she does a lot of programming at home) She got pregnant at a party and doesn’t know who the father is I lived in the apartment first and she moved in 4 months ago, so I don’t see why I should move out She hasn’t even suggested to move out but she has talked about planning a baby shower in the apartment (isn’t that something that happens later in the pregnancy?) Anyways I really don’t wanna live with a baby but it’s kinda mean to just tell her to move out right?

When I was in high school here in Florida, I got a taste of the regime's hatred of me. I was a straight A student in all the AP and honors classes, with the highest possible weighted GPA. This was in a school with legit race riots in the news - due to the odd demographic split, half Southern redneck, half ghetto blacks (you'll need this for later). Two other students in the running for valedictorian: a black girl, and an Indian guy. You already know how this goes, don't you? They removed roadblocks for the two of them so they could stack classes out of order to take more weighted GPA classes than they let me take (I was not permitted to do this). But whatever, the Indian guy was bad in his foreign language classes - he was going to get a C in Spanish, which would have given me salutatorian at least. But the teacher gave him a ton of extra credit, especially for him and no one else, so that she could change his grade to an A. I was confused about this until I saw the local news. "School in the South with race riots graduates a black woman valedictorian and Indian salutatorian." Got it. I was whitey. It was fine to screw me over for a headline. I had the third highest GPA in that school's history up until that point and I was third in the class. I learned quickly that it doesn't matter how good you do if you're the wrong race/gender/whatever and can't give the school authorities a good soundbite in the news. There was never any universe where I would be allowed to stand on the podium. Fuck the public school system. h/t @travis4nh

Apologies for going quiet. I’m going through the most painful experience of my life — divorcing my wife of nearly 30 years, the woman I still love with every fiber of my soul, and watching my family break apart. I’m shattered. I won’t be following the market for awhile. Sorry.

I am about ready to shut down this entire account. I am sick and tired of being called a n*gger, and nothing is ever done about it. Several times last week and this week, alone, I have been called a n*gger, monkey, black money, baboon, b*tch, KKK, MonkeyPhD, fat n*gger and these people are reported and @X does nothing about it, and few of you [God bless the one that do speak out] say nothing. This has never made sense to me. At the Last Supper when Jesus broke the bread and shared the wine... He said "do this in memory of me". I know the catholic church and some other denominations have communion. But I always interpreted that as having a meal of fellowship in his name. Eating and having a drink, talking about our lord and loving each other. Am I way off base?

My sweet 2-year-old baby girl is gone. I am sitting in her room at 5 a.m. Today is Tuesday. She passed on Saturday. She left us suddenly and we still don’t have answers. We were at a restaurant when she became upset, so I stepped outside around 1:10 to comfort her. Shortly after, we noticed her breathing had changed and contacted her pediatrician. We were advised to help her breathe cooler air and seek emergency care right away. We acted as quickly as we could and called 911. We rushed her to a nearby store where we tried to help her while waiting for emergency services. Medical help arrived quickly, and she was taken to the hospital just minutes away. Despite everyone’s efforts, she passed away at 2:28 p.m. We were with her the entire time. I held her for hours after she passed. I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with a baby boy, and I felt him moving while I held her. The only information we have so far is that there was no obstruction found and no visible trauma. We are still waiting for further answers. The rest of that day felt unreal. We went home without her. We brought her belongings, her toys, and her car seat. We collected keepsakes like her hand and foot prints at the hospital with the help of her pediatrician, who stayed with us throughout. That night, family began arriving. We held onto her things and tried to rest, but we barely slept. The following days have been incredibly difficult. We are grieving deeply. I am struggling to eat and sleep, though I am trying to take care of myself for my pregnancy and for my baby boy. Right now, I am sitting in her room holding her blanket and remembering her. My son is moving inside me, and it brings both pain and comfort at the same time. I miss her beyond words. I just hope she is safe, loved, and at peace. She will always be my baby girl. This lady goes to the gas station like she always does on a normal day. But, as she uses her card which she knows has plenty of money in her account, the message “please see cashier” pops up. She’s not going inside. She’s leaving and going to another gas station. This has happened to me many times and I refuse to go inside because a gas station can’t fix their darn gas pumps. In fact, I won’t visit that gas station anymore. Has this ever happened to you? Did you go inside or did you leave and go to another gas station?
