@Damian_Roland @uniofleicester @Leic_hospital We still frequently talk about the thunderstorm asthma night in Coventry CED. This is a really interesting piece of work - makes me feel I wasn’t alone!

“Civil Servants were not involved in the production or presentation” of what Tories claimed was a Treasury assessment of Labour plans. So the Tory claim is a lie. Hard to see what other word to use
Henry Zeffman@hzeffman

EXCLUSIVE The chief Treasury civil servant wrote to Labour two days ago saying that the £38 billion/£2,000 tax attack “should not be presented as having been produced by the civil service” He said he had reminded ministers of this

Implosion time - just as FCO perm sec Simon Macdonald felt compelled to tell the truth about Johnson lies so the Treasury perm Secretary now making clear the Sunak £2000 tax claim is a lie. They cannot help themselves. They won’t worry too much because this is all about producing strong clear lines for under the radar targeting. But by allowing Labour to be able to say he is no different to Johnson when it comes to truth twisting he has turned a short term tactical win into a big strategic own goal. Will be discussing on @BBCr4today shortly

@BBradley_Mans Erm….did you miss the part where neither of them were able to say that they wouldn’t raise taxes?

The only things he did let slip were that they do plan to raise your taxes, he admitted that much. And that he wouldn't pay for private healthcare even to save his dying relative, which - given that he's a millionaire - is either totally callous or an outright lie. This man is not Prime Minister material.

The Leader of the Labour Party hasn't answered one single question tonight about anything he'd actually do, any way that he'd pay for any of it, or anything of any substance whatsoever. He's slated the Government, and dealt entirely in platitudes. He has absolutely no idea. That is not leadership.

@TomTugendhat Starmer called that claim “absolute garbage.” Maybe you missed him saying it because Sunak was talking over him - again.

@drlukeevans He couldn’t. He wastalked over consistently by Sunak because his only approach seemed to be to fire questions at Starmer and then refuse to let him answer them. It was disrespectful to Starmer, the moderator and the public who actually want to hear what they both have to say.

@michaelgove It’s utterly pointless. I want to hear both of their answers not Sunak firing questions and then refusing to let Starmer answer them. It’s disrespectful to Starmer and to the public who are trying to decide who to vote for.

@avyargo @WomnOfValor Of course some people live comfortably with a single earner. That’s great. I support anyone whose vocation is homemaker. Mine isn’t. God called me to use the talents he gave me to be a doctor and mother and I will not be told by this man living his dream to “stay in my lane.”

I think there might be a misunderstanding of his words. Also, it's not solely about finances. Many couples earn less than $100k and still lead happy, fulfilling lives with one partner as a homemaker. It's important not to underestimate the significant contributions of mothers and homemakers

A 12 year old boy in Alabama was drugged, overpowered and raped by a man now in prison for 40 years. 23 of his rape videos were uploaded and monetized on P*rnhub. Police reached out multiple times to get the videos down but were ignored. We now have new evidence that P*rnhub intentionally employed only ONE person to review flagged videos 5 days a week. They had a backlog of 700,000 videos flagged for criminal content. Based on how they ran the company is it any surprise P*rnhub ignored police demands to takedown child rape? #traffickinghub

@grantshapps @Keir_Starmer What a cynical political stunt. It achieves nothing other than to make you look petty which isn’t what most people are looking for in their political leaders.

@GBNEWS Hearing that a dietician and a GP were overweight isn’t exactly reaching the crux of the issues is it? Individual gossip rather than a deep dive into the actual issues and how we might solve them.

@GBNEWS An informed discussion about the challenges the NHS is facing and how to tackle these might have been more productive from a news channel. I’m not an angel and nor are most of my team but we work extremely hard in tough conditions. What has this little chat done to improve that?

@sophielouisecc The NHS is far from perfect but even in a perfect system we couldn’t have carried on as normal with the influx of sick patients. Having enough staff, space and equipment to do that during a once in a generation event would be wasteful the rest of the time.

If you have to shut down your entire country to deal with for most people was a flu Your health care service isn’t up to scratch. It’s as simple of that. If the NHS is as great as people say we shouldn’t have had to close the economy and schools and ruin livelihoods for it
