@BleedBlueCasey Maybe I needed to hear the question. I don't see it as a dig. He's referencing UK, but what he seems to be saying to me is that it isn't a great situation to be in, like a lot of schools are, and that's where CBB has put itself. I see it as a shot at the NCAA, not UK.

John Calipari is clearly taking shots at Kentucky after Mark Pope was comparing his last 2 years to his last four earlier this week. "There are a lot of people who have no recruits, idea who's coming back, who don't have the money you had a year ago."

@Aaron_Torres Fundamentals are better to a man, and their athletes are actually better. Chandler moves like he's top-heavy. Jelavic has lateral quickness of a battleship. Moreno has shoehorn hands.

Iowa State: A group of players who were recruited to a specific system, to play specific role, stayed and developed within the system to be what they were intended to be in the recruiting process. Kentucky: None of the above.

ISU deserves total credit for their on-ball pressure but if you’re UK you can’t just say, “Welp, they extended their pressure, oh well, that was the game.” Has UK changed anything? Any strategy or coaching advice at all except “take care of the ball?” Once up 12, now down 18.

@AdamStrattonKSR Credit ISU for their on-ball pressure, but yeah, I know it’s dark arts type stuff, but in addition to speeding up the game + protecting the ball, you gotta play up the contact, if you’re UK. The refs are old and tired, they WILL blow the whistle to rest if you give them a reason.

Iowa State reminds me of an old-school Pitino team. Refs can't call a foul EVERY play, so just keep hacking.

@KamVTV Yeah, he is a freakin’ tank when it comes to logic, rhetoric and debate. And like so many of these folks with this skill, he has historical facts, even really obscure stuff, seemingly right at his fingertips. He can build an argument like few others, and with style.

I don’t know how Scott Jennings does it on CNN, but the man has a way with words. He drops a point, the whole panel goes quiet, and you can practically see people swallow hard. Absolute masterclass.

@KySportsRadio In 1992, SEC media day, Doug Pelfrey was asked to predict UK's record. He said 11-0, noting if he said, say, 5-6, he just made it ok to lose 6 games. Said if they didn't think they could win every game, they shouldn't even take the field.

Seth Greenberg has spent five years going off on UK fans about their expectations. There is nothing wrong with BBN expecting a consistent winner. This isn’t Virginia Tech

@RoushKSR If the knee swelling is the problem, they should show us proof. Because he either has a surgically-repaired fully-rehabbed knee that still has problems and his NBA future is therefore in trouble, OR his knee is fine and UK/Pope got fleeced and look really stupid.

Kentucky actively chose to recruit a player who tore his ACL in March. There was a better chance than not that he was never going to play a single second in a Kentucky uniform. That's how ACL injuries work in basketball.
