ESPN's Jeff Darlington, also on the scene said the police officer was "pretty heated."
Said Scheffler acknowledged he had kept trying to drive through (slowly), but Darlington says players had been told they could enter the course, and Scheffler was in a marked PGA vehicle.

I am an incredibly strong person and I have been streaming for a very, very long time. But absolutely nothing prepares you for someone saying this to you The suspensions are not enough. Nothing will ever stop these men from acting this way until hardware bans go into play. They should never be able to play the game again I know you hear us. I know you see us. The Nissan clearly took majority of the energy on the impact, but you can’t deny how well Cybertruck held up given the damage on the Nissan. Yes it will most likely be totalled, but there is a good chance of it being bought at auction, then put back on the road. It’s not in catastrophic condition.
