More & more, air travel feels like amateur hour. @United flight attendants didn’t know our destination (they asked me during take-off announcement); jittery landing; plane parked so poorly we could not deplane. Had to re-stow luggage & wait 40 min to repark plane at better angle.

Miraculous day aboard @LindbladExp! Spotted a small pod of sperm #whales, just south of the equator. The youngest one seemed curious and swam ahead of us, gulping in air & spraying out a few big bursts of breath before diving far, far below the surface of the ocean.

Landed on the tiny rock island of St. Helena & got to visit with its oldest loving resident, Jonathan—a Seychelles Tortoise believed to be almost 200 years old. Quite profound to commune with a fellow living who’s been alive for centuries. Tortoises are extraordinary @LindbladExp

Incredible weather today. Despite 50 knot gusts of wind, the protected inlet of Ocean Harbour allowed our @LindbladExp group to get in a long hike in the pristine mountains of South Georgia.
