@burnzzie88 @sodpoodle10 Buium projected as a top pair D, Rossi was already a bonafide 2C and Ohgren’s potential is extremely high
Keep in mind they got that return mid season

@BruinsWyan @mattdolloff Just saying, not bad for a worthless pick right
English

@WheresJohn3 @mattdolloff Yeah cause you can totally bank on getting a 60 goal, 100 point winger in the late 1st every year 👍
English

To refresh:
- BOS ‘26 pick top-5 protected, PHI ‘27 pick top-10 protected
- If TOR stays top-5, BOS pick slides to ‘27
- If TOR is out of top-10 in ‘27, PHI gets ‘27 pick, BOS gets ‘28 unprotected
- If TOR is in top-10 in ‘27, they choose who gets ‘27 pick and ‘28 unprotected

Maple Leafs clinch fifth-worst place in the NHL.

@BruinsWyan @mattdolloff Yeah you’re right. Bruins should’ve traded their 1st in 2014 for a couple extra years of Stempniak. It was just a late 1st too
English

@Knight_Bombers @mattdolloff The bruins were probably aware of the conditions too since they accepted the trade
English

@mattdolloff NHL is a joke for allowing this, a team can essentially choose who to send a pick too because they made multiple trades with same picks.
English

@mattdolloff So basically we either get a really good player this year or the pick becomes worthless because they aren’t going to willingly hand us a top 10 pick in 27
English

Players like Hagens and Martone do essentially nothing to boost the window of our current elite players. They are great future pieces but Hagens is very unlikely to truly breakout until opening night of 2027 at the earliest. Look at the rookie point leaders this season, Demidov and Sennecke are the only 2 over 60 pts and barely got there. Just takes time with prospects that the Bruins don’t have with this group. If the Hagens timeline was the same for a potential 6-7 pick in this draft you are talking about the earliest boost you will get from that player being 2028 or 2029. If that’s the direction the Bruins wanna go (they don’t) then fine but should consider moving those core players to teams who want to contend sooner
English

While that might be true, the value of that pick is significantly reduced by TOR keeping their first this year IMO. Another top-10 prospect could be in BOS over the next 1-3 years, boosting the window of McAvoy and Pastrnak. The 2028 pick would miss that window. #NHLBruins

@BruinsNetwork The unprotected pick in 2028 could end up at the very top of the draft with an aging Toronto roster!

@KendrickPerkins I’m honored that you sat in a car for 2+ minutes to scold me on your iPhone like this, even though we are a combined age of like 92.
If you actually think Toronto will be top-6 in the East in anything other than “most fun place to visit” — let’s wager on it ASAP.
English

@NHL_On_TNT I really hate east coast fans! They barley stay up for the games on west coast it’s pathetic! He’s one of the best if not the best, don’t care what people say. But, NOOOOOOOO fenchy Bergeron gets all the glory! It’s bullsh*t!! Fuck the east , in any league. Weak ass fans!
English

@RTaub_ @MikeBartner Kuraly for that Cole kid? Kuralys got loadssssss of experience
English

@MikeBartner I'd rather keep seeing Ritchie develop and become Pageau's replacement if he is dealt. Nothing against Hagens, love him, but give me the guy already with some NHL experience.
English

@Jessemedscience I’m not saying Hagens shouldn’t be called up, I think calling up two players would be too much. Don’t see why they’d put their best faceoff guy on the wing just to facilitate getting Poitras in
English

@WheresJohn3 Zacha, Jeannot, Kastelic, Minten, Khusnutdinov is still a good rotation
Let’s be real here, Kuraly should not be the roadblock that stops BOS from brining up Hagens — if so then this team has far bigger issues
English

You can fit both Matthew Poitras and James Hagens into this lineup…
Put the loyalty aside and ice the most talented team you can
Hagens-Minten*-Pastrnak
Mittlestadt-Zacha-Arvidsson
Geekie-Poitras-Lindholm
Jeannot-Kastelic-Khusnutdinov
*Kuraly
*I would almost put Poitras with Pastrnak because of their history together (small sample) is pretty darn impressive — and he has some familiarity with Hagens

English

@EvanMarinofsky Phew. They were probably close to calling Hagens up
English

@DanD62178591113 @Jessemedscience They’d miss Kuralys penalty killing more than people realize
English

@Jessemedscience Id take Kuraly out, Marat can play ANYWHERE up and down that lineup. Kastelic centres 4th line give Hagens a chance w their most skilled players in the top 6 and PP. Reichel has his 9 gm recall do up, be interesting moving forward.
English

As good as PROV has been all year, none of them think the game at James Hagens level…he’s 19.

@yojustcolby @EverydaySens And a 35 goal scorer on the third line lol
English

@EverydaySens tbf ur acting like those 2 arent going to end around 35-40p 15-20g and playing time everywhere from 4c to 1c (both of them). And the 3rd guy on that line is a top 3 player in hockey. They also have one of the best lines as there 2nd line. There a good team.

@thebobdarob @TopCheddar69 I wonder if my aunt would be my uncle if she had nuts
English

@TopCheddar69 I wonder how hard Bruins fans would go for Kopi if he were lifelong Bruin and Bergeron was a King

Does anybody want to spark up that Kopitar vs. Bergeron argument again?
