Public service announcement: It's time we started putting cherry plum in our hedges again. They look like blackthorn but less thorny and much less suckering. And they blossom earlier. Who doesnt want early signs of spring?! The ancient hedges round here are full of it

@UKLabour No its not. It is tax increase for working families and another reason to stop working and collect benefits. The masses will start to revolt

@muddymuddymum Had a parcel yesterday on next day delivery from first week in December also had a ding dong with a supplier about missing emails and tooling not sent back from a payment made end October. It gets tiring.

Thank you to everyone who has bought this book. Thrilled it’s become a bestseller and found so much love. Going to try and step away from social media next year and use all the grey matter to write another book - plus some other projects. Thank you.

Don’t install your new or replacement window cills perfectly level, or worse, angled towards your house. Make them as they should be, so the water drips onto the ground, not into your living room.

@narindertweets @10DowningStreet Labour took over an economy that was growing and have managed to squander that with increased borrowing increased debt payments and more handouts to those that choose not to work.

@FavColour_Green It takes time to let hedges grow out to be laid but if we can’t get grants when we need them it’s going to reduce beneficial work like this. I will do what’s right but how many would now smash back because they not got funding to do something?

@WhitacreBespoke And to be honest, whilst the laying season extends to March, its the ones layed before xmas that regrow fastest..

Well this would be a disaster if true. “One of the things we're looking at is where has been our highest spend on the actions, &where do we get the best value for money or hedgerows, we consider it to be slightly lower value for money than.. other work endsreport.com/article/193938…

@FavColour_Green I’ve got fences that intersect with the hedge that have got to be done for turn out in the spring as they have fallen over this summer. Yet I can start work before the agreement. I fear I’m going to have to do it at my cost now because it needs done.

@FavColour_Green Exactly this. I relaid our garden hedge about 10 years ago first half I did early rest I did at end of March to get it done you can see the difference even now.

@FavColour_Green I do my own thankfully but I work full time off farm so it’s getting late now to book the time on top of needing time for lambing

@WhitacreBespoke It's really disappointing. I just don't think they get the urgency. Or the practicality. Hedgelayers are busy - they need to be booked!
