@FavColour_Green It takes time to let hedges grow out to be laid but if we can’t get grants when we need them it’s going to reduce beneficial work like this. I will do what’s right but how many would now smash back because they not got funding to do something?

@FavColour_Green I’ve got fences that intersect with the hedge that have got to be done for turn out in the spring as they have fallen over this summer. Yet I can start work before the agreement. I fear I’m going to have to do it at my cost now because it needs done.

@FavColour_Green Exactly this. I relaid our garden hedge about 10 years ago first half I did early rest I did at end of March to get it done you can see the difference even now.

@FavColour_Green I do my own thankfully but I work full time off farm so it’s getting late now to book the time on top of needing time for lambing

@WhitacreBespoke It's really disappointing. I just don't think they get the urgency. Or the practicality. Hedgelayers are busy - they need to be booked!
