Mrs Finney shared the story of Abraham. He trusted in and had faith in God. Abraham’s story can help us when we are starting new things, even when times are difficult. We can have faith that God has planned the way forwards for us as he did with Abraham. @SchoolWhitegate

Another busy week in Birch. Drama in English focusing on the structure of our story, 📖 sharing and grouping with sweets 🍬 in maths and microhabitat pictures 🐛 using the iPads in computing. @SchoolWhitegate

The children have had a great time today for World Book Day 📚 They have made character spoons, guess the character, bookmarks and more. @SchoolWhitegate

Another busy week where Birch have been very creative. We have combined art 🎨 and English to write and publish some amazing river 🌊 poetry and have learnt our first two pieces of music on the recorder 🎶 @SchoolWhitegate

Today we have started a new unit of work in Music where we are learning to play the recorder. 🎶 🎵 We learnt how to hold it properly, blow gently and made our first note together. @SchoolWhitegate

🖼 🎨 Art with our Rowan friends was great fun on Tuesday. We continued exploring printing through artist studies and frottage technique. ✏️ @WhitegateRowan1

A lovely day today where we had another opportunity to shine. ✨ The children sang some of their favourite songs from our production, to the Snow Angels at the Mews.

Birch class have raised a super £118 for their one unselfish act this term, selling their incredible seascapes to raise money for the RNLI. Thank you @rhyllifeboat for the work you do. @SchoolWhitegate

The children have loved writing and publishing ✍️ their stories based on Harry and the Jaggedy Daggers. They are all on the bookshelf now, ready for next years Birch class to enjoy. @SchoolWhitegate

The children have been working on measures over the last 2 weeks and today we did an experiment with ice. They made excellent predictions about the changes in temperature and how long the ice would last in the hot and cold water. @SchoolWhitegate

The children enjoyed the gallery to share their art work, Welsh cakes and books. The gallery will be open in the morning and after school tomorrow, if you didn’t get chance today. Thank for the kind donations received which will all go to the RNLI @rhyllifeboat @SchoolWhitegate

Computing and art combined today to create some amazing seascapes 🛶 🌊 @SchoolWhitegate

Super computing and art skills today. The children used their knowledge of searching for images on the iPads using key words and the image tab, to find seascapes and RNLI boats to sketch ✍️ as well as starting their abstract seascape canvases! @SchoolWhitegate
