🎊Congratulations to @WhitwickPrimary on their successful bid in Round 1 of the #PeopleZones Grant Fund 2024 /25 🎊 'Enhancing School Facilities' is a sustainable project that will impact #YouthProvision, #AccessToServices, #CommunitySafety, #PrideOfPlace, and #CommunityCohesion for the local community Deputy Head Teacher, Lee Swales, states that the project addresses a clear gap in the schools current offer where "the funding to revitalise our sports pitch will improve PE provision and inspire a lifelong love of sport and healthy living in our pupils." "Upgrading the sports court will allow us to share the facility with local clubs and the #community, promoting #WellBeing for all… with floodlights already installed, the facility can be accessed after school hours, making it convenient for evening activities" With other People Zones Grant Funded projects within #Whitwick increasing the amount of #CommunityHubs available, we can't wait to see how this all plays out ⚽️🏀⛹️♀️
🏓 Girls Y5/6 Table Tennis competition 🏓 Some brilliant skills from all, with Broom Leys taking on @WhitwickPrimary in the final. An extremely close game with Whitwick taking the win,well done both teams and congratulations to Whitwick who will go on to represent NWL at Level 3
The day the Bishop came to school… Bishop Saju visited this morning. He led a collective worship and was very impressed by the children’s knowledge of Bible stories. Then members of Chaplaincy team took him on a tour of the school and finished with a Q&A session. Wow!
I’M GOING TO MY SECOND #PARALYMPICS!! 🤩 Time to defend my title💪🏿 The last 3 years has had its ups & downs but with a sprinkling of Gold medal mentality & my brilliant support team I can’t wait to end this 3 year training cycle in the 100m at the Stade De France! #PARIS2024
