Don’t get caught up on “AL South”. Who cares what the division is called? If I called it “AL Central” it wouldn’t have made sense for the NL. It makes sense geographically and if that’s all there is to nitpick then this is a damn good realignment

It’s insane how AA has ruined this team but 75% of the fanbase still praises him for a season that was 4 years ago. Fumbled signing a franchise legend in Freeman to bet on Olson, who really hasn’t been the answer if we’re being honest. Fumbled signing Dansby and has yet to find a decent shortstop to fill in the gaping hole. Fumbled signing Fried, who is likely to win the Cy this year, while Sale regresses and Strider will never be the same. Traded Contreras for Murphy, who had a good 3 months before falling off the face of the planet and is having his job taken by a rookie. Signed Harris to a long term deal after a rookie season, where he’s now unable to scrape a .600 OPS Terrible trades, terrible deals, allowed stars to walk for nothing, but let’s be grateful the three random players he traded for in July of 2021 got hot at the perfect time.

Can you think of anyone you’d replace on @jaysonst’s MLB All-Quarter-Century Team? (If you say Ohtani over Ortiz, my answer is maybe [probably?] at some point, but not yet.) For me, the lowest-hanging fruit is Molina, but is anyone actually a lock to replace him? I’m not sure.

@PhilsTailgate MLB is very different than minors. Pitchers will adjust. Take into account who they played when he’s been in the lineup. Whitt wasn’t good with Phillies but he does add depth to many positions and speed.

Phillies are still up 8 one the Mets and 8.5 on Atlanta. However, winning the division doesn’t mean much unless you’re one of the top 2 seeds. Right now the Phils are 2 up on the Dodgers and just 2.5 up on the hard charging Brewers. We’ve gotta start paying attention to all 4 teams.
