When I talk about my time as a projectionist in the'90s this is the kind of stuff that I was doing. That's a platter system with a complex tree they thread through the Brain before it even goes over to the projector.
I had a Brainwrap on Casablanca one time and I thought I was going to get fired. It was an archaic tri-acetate print. We were doing it for the opening of one of the theaters. That print was older than me at the time.

ONE COPY OF THIS MOVIE WEIGHS 384 KILOGRAMS Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey was shot entirely on IMAX film. A single 70mm print is so massive that Cinemark had to show people how it even gets loaded into the projector. - One print stretches 640,000 meters of physical film - That same print weighs 384 kilograms, heavier than a grand piano - The movie cost 375 million dollars to produce and market combined - Only 41 theaters on the planet are built to run a copy this size This is not a movie file. It is basically cargo.

The Odyssey easily gets into my top 3 Nolan films, and top 5 films OAT.
Nolan’s casting, practical effects/puppeteering, and storytelling cadence were 11/10s for this entire film. Really hoping for a second imax 70mm screening in the near future to experience it again.
