@dee_bowmer Because so many of us grew up in the time where “heavy” meant unhealthy. Period. No additional information needed. You can see that still is alive and well in these comments on the original thread.

@_celia_bedelia_ Why do people have to shame other people for being heavy. Personally as long as a person is healthy no one should have the right to say anything about their weight. Also I find it offensive that there are no comfortable attractive clothes for heavy people.

@TmacSeatac This is so valid. Too big to go to the average store, too small to be considered for the “plus” size stores. Or if I was in the plus section, I could feel the looks from people because I wasn’t “big enough” in their eyes to be in that section.

@_celia_bedelia_ I’ve walked into stores like torrid and walked out because it felt like I was too small to be there (or be taken seriously there) and somehow too large to be anywhere else, the in between of regular and plus size fashion is purgatory

@GetDYPER I wish they were available at our Walmart! We always used to get them there and now they’re sold out at all surrounding stores 😔 it was super disappointing! And the cost is huge on Amazon compared to Walmart!
