@lauratennant Much to our frustration a recyclable or compostable label that is compatible with netting machines is currently not available in the UK, we are searching for a solution and hope to have a fully compostable label in the next 6 months.

@christinamcg @Ocado @christinamcg @Ocado The net is home compostable (made from beechwood) and we're working on a clip that is compostable. The label is currently plastic because of the way we print - but we're working on a solution where all the packaging is 100% compostable.

@Ocado @Wholegood Thanks @ocado! I was genuinely asking what I should do with it - I can't see any recycling info. @wholegood? if cotton, was that chosen in preference to plastic net? Guessing sealife can still get trapped(?) Can it be composted? (without metal/plastic bits)

@Wholegood courgettes from you in my @Ocado order last week - it feels like cotton string - is it? 🤔 But then the label is plastic 😢 and there's 2 metal clips. What's the recycling approach/plan for this? #pointlessplastic
