@DiggerDiggsy And with regards to different measures, this was your (completely inaccurate) statement. Dumbass.

@DiggerDiggsy Youre the one actively being thick. Deficit is projected $5bn year ended 28, NOT 29. In 29 projected is 0.9 which (being a moron you clearly don’t understand) is less than 2.5. So nope, you’ve failed again.

How is it there are people who literally believe this to be true? How intensely bad are our numerical skills to remotely believe this? It’s an embarrassment to our education system. #nzpol

@WhosOnFirst01 @attackcartoonz National is borrowing more so I assume you must be talking about Willis and co

@DiggerDiggsy I’d love to know how you think the $45bn bonds/borrowing peak under Labour is somehow less than the peak under national (nationals peak is literally less, whether you like it or not).

@WhosOnFirst01 Treasury separately publishes the bond programme (actual borrowing): $35b in 2025/26 Projecting $30b+ yearly until 2030. So in 5 year period it's expecting at least 150b This is well above the 86b due to a pandemic

@DiggerDiggsy Nevermind the fact ~$2.5bn of current deficit is literally just Covid debt interest. Based on the HYEFU 2025 forecast, if you take away that interest we would achieve a surplus between 2028 and 2029.

@DiggerDiggsy I don’t think you understand treasury fiscal reports. Seeing as you are equating deficit to borrowing, Labours summed annual deficits/surpluses are a larger (negative) than nationals. Your statement is literally incorrect.

When are these clowns buying up several cans of petrol going to be prosecuted for not having a Dangerous Goods Licence ? Also are they declaring to their insurer that they have 200 litres stashed in the garage?

@KarinMary1 You seem to have put together a rather rambling, incoherent statement here. You also seem to have a lot of (highly likely misplaced) anger. There are many very good community counselors who could help you.

I see the right are still on about apples over on Facebook. It's weird that they forget the marmite sandwich that goes with it (ref:Luxon). Which proves they really are a sandwich short of a picnic

The very sad attempt too many people make at justifying never trying hard enough to buy your own house, when buying is financially better 99.9% of the time, provided youre at least semi financially literate and not a slacker on due diligence.

@Tiare_MP How’s your rental bill? How do you like that it will (on average) only ever go up? I like that my mortgage plus rates plus insurance is a shit ton less than it would be to rent the same house. I’m also not a moron, so put effort into due diligence when buying a house = low risk

@DiggerDiggsy @attackcartoonz @DiggerDiggsy in the real world (not your very cherry picked data, Labour biased world). Net debt was ~$60bn when Labour came to power, ~$170bn when Labour lost power and now ~$180bn. Please elaborate on how you think ~$10bn increase is more than Labours ~$100bn…

@PhillipLaings If it were a Covid crisis, at least they wouldn’t sell the next generation down the economic drain for a theoretical very short term benefit. Your post is not a very intelligent one.

NZ rejects WHO pandemic rule changes, aligning with 'fringe' RFK Jr newsroom.co.nz/2026/03/18/nz-… of New Zealand. “We’ve been seen as a good international citizen. We adopt the conventions, we play by the rules. This is reputation-wrecking. People will think that we’ve lost our mind.”

The smear campaign against Chris Hipkins is just another tired attempt to destabilise Labour’s leadership by dragging the public conversation into the gutter. It’s not going to work this time round. People are over the cheap shots and personal attack-style politics, especially when families across the country are doing it tough. New Zealand is literally in the middle of a cost of living crisis. Rent, groceries, power bills, everything is biting hard. That’s what deserves oxygen and not the recycled nonsense. We need politics that actually serves the public. The playbook isn’t new and is just another broken part of the fading smear machine that cannot be repaired. Smears, distractions, and personal attacks have been used before to shift focus away from the real issues, and it’s happening again now. If anything have something to say, start having conversations about policy. Right now, distractions and character digs aren’t just tired, they’re a disservice to everyone! #nzpol
