@hinabunbun1216 Most people have no idea what it is. Ichi ramen is only known by people with an interest in Japan.
English

@tuuu28283 I think you’re thinking of the situations where someone is politely telling another person they said something they shouldn’t have while also giving them a chance to say something else
English

@timothyjphelan The Japanese are doing something that’s part of the Japanese religion in Japan seems pretty normal to me. What would be weird is if they had a Catholic or some other religion’s priest bless the sake.
English

This is what workplace religion looks like in Japan.
Employees at a sake brewery stand together while a Shinto rite is conducted inside their factory.
The company president makes an offering to a kami associated with sake brewing.
The evening news presented it as ordinary.
Why is this normal in Japan?

English

@tuuu28283 They mean the same thing, but large is more sophisticated and formal.
English

@CacheThatCheque The leftists struggle with differentiating things with qualitative differences. They can only understand broad differences between categories
English

@nameless_urano @planefag There are 3 core ways of fighting, and most martial arts combine two or all three of them
Wrestling is moves like throws, pins, trips, holds etc. Grappling is moves like submissions, mount position, guard position, etc.
Sumo is wrestling with limited strikes.
English

As someone who's anti-grappling strategy has always been to hit the other guy so hard when he goes for the clinch that he forgets what he was gonna do when he gets close - a sumo wrestler is the LAST dude I'd want to fight

@mattfle02898557 @peterrhague Masochist, but it’s only masochism if you’re weak.
English

@peterrhague no point complaining about it but you would have to be a sadist to enjoy this

@charybdeez Most of the Mexicans came here in the last 50 years. Even before the Texas Revolution, when Texas was still part of Mexico, Texas was majority white.
English

@nameless_urano @planefag I apologize for expecting too much from you. I expect you to be able to understand that I was talking about the stand up part of judo, which is like sumo wrestling and western wrestling styles. Moreover, few martial arts are pure striking, wrestling, or grappling.
English

@Daikazo2 Have a good time at the tooth torturer
English

@nameless_urano @planefag No, wrestling has no ground work. Most styles have a rule about not touching the ground with any body part besides the feet. Catch and free style have different rules, but being pined to the ground is considered a loss
English

@bunburyoudoujp A similar design principle to the zigzag paths in Japanese gardens

Today I visited the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose.
It was built by Sarah Winchester (widow of William Winchester) who believed she was haunted by the ghosts of those killed by Winchester rifles.
There are 160 rooms some weird features like stairs that lead into the ceiling and doors that just lead to 10 ft drops.
The house was designed to confuse the spirits that might be haunting her.
A very interesting tour. Great way to spend a bit of time in San Jose.

English

@nameless_urano @planefag I think wrestling has come to mean something slightly different in Japan than it means in the west from watching tv wrestling. Our traditional wrestling styles are more like sumo (without the striking) and judo than tv wrestling
English

Would a hippo eat a man?
The first time I posted the image below, I got told I was a liar because "herbivores don't eat meat." Not everyone knows that I did, in fact, train as a zoologist - 6 years in college & grad school. So let me explain.
Plants are WAY harder to digest than meat. Herbivores have one of three choices. They can have huge complex guts (hippos, elephants). They can eat a LOT of food, gleaning a bit of nutrition with their inefficient digestion (horses, pandas). Or they can double-process by either recycling their own poop (rabbits, koalas, termites) or chewing a cud (cows, deer).
Carnivores have it way easier. So do omnivores like humans. Yes we eat plants, but only the easiest, most digestible plants. You'd never catch us eating pine needles or grass. Just the less fibrous roots, fruit, nuts, and such. Our digestive tract is a lot more like a carnivore's. Look at a cat's skinny build compared to a guinea pig's fat middle - the herbivore needs far more digestive tract. There’s a reason so many herbivores are shaped like potatoes.

English

@tuuu28283 That’s a phonetic spelling like furigana (ふりがな) but mostly used in dictionaries. English spelling is from the 1500s but English words have changed a lot since then, so we need help knowing how to pronounce words.
日本語

@DAKKADAKKA1 They’re also used to taking hits. Those “slaps” are open palm strikes
English

Lmao there’s a reason weight classes exist. And sumos are mostly muscle. They only gain weight to better slam into an opponent and become a wall of unmovable flesh.
Happy Punch@HappyPunch
Sumo wrestler destroyed a 5-0 pro boxer in an MMA fight last night 😳
English

@nameless_urano @planefag In English we have 3 broad categories of martial arts: striking, wrestling (holds, throws, and pins), and grappling (joint locks and ground fighting). I was clarifying that sumo is one of the wrestling arts.
English

@ShinaFasheun @kylenabecker Your bullshit doesn’t work.
English

@kylenabecker This generalisation of the white race can not help us to understand racial contribution to the problems of humanity.
The whites raided Africa, reduced the black in South Africa, the black man in US for long did not feel like human . The whites have problems with the black man.
English

Western Civilization didn't flourish because "white males" stopped other groups from succeeding.
The West thrived because of rational thought, individual rights, and free enterprise.
"White males" that invented the steam engine, electric generation, the combustion engine, flight, and space exploration did not do so because they "stole" the ideas of minorities.
These inventions helped lift mankind out of ignorance and hardship, improving the quality of life for all of humanity.
"White males" didn't oppress the entire world, they helped make it a better place.
"White males" didn't oppress everyone's rights, they invented the idea of rights and paid in blood to liberate tens of millions of people.
"White males" didn't invent slavery, they ended it.
"White males" didn't invent tyranny, they devised a form of government to end it.
Destroying Western Civilization isn't about empowering groups that were "oppressed." It is about tearing down civilization itself so that globalist parasites can rule over all of us.
Nancy C@NC7983
@robertsepehr @Greene_Thoughts @BreitbartNews Why isn’t dismantling white male focused societal conventions not a good deal? Why isn’t giving groups, such as women and no -whites more opportunities to maximize their potential. Why is aiming for diversity in groups making decisions bad, as they clearly come up with better2)
