It's #WomensHistoryMonth! Here's a photo from @WichitaHistory of women in the National Defense Training School in Wichita during 1943. They were taught welding, riveting, & how to work on sheet metal. Equal pay was offered to men & women after the completion of their training.

Decorative treatments on exhibit at the Museum include the Northern Building skylight & panels from Riverside Zoo. None are original to this building!

The windows at one of Wichita’s oldest buildings stopped me in my tracks on Sunday during a visit to @WichitaHistory, which was the community’s first City Hall. Built in 1890, it remains beautiful in 2023. #museum #stainedglass
