@mehdirhasan Absolutely superb interview. "United States of Amnesia" needs to be on a mug or something.

"Oil is a gift from God". And we trusted the guy who’d say that to run climate talks to save the world?? With the help of @jerometenk, get a healthy (over)dose of post-COP clarity in our most recent episode:

@GreenRupertRead When @timmcdonnell and @rdelevan discussed this possibility a couple of days ago, it seemed possible but not likely. But still a potentially historic moment. open.spotify.com/episode/5x2uHp…

I find this article baffling on a further ground, which is the reference to 'expensive' batteries. These are the one of the few low carbon technologies deploying at scale without any support whatsoever.
James Murray@James_BG
You will search this article in vain for any mention of the fact climate change is a serious threat, any sort of alternative plan for cutting emissions, or any reference to recent IEA reports demonstrating how global clean tech markets are booming. thetimes.com/article/52dde4…

$150/kWh home batteries.
The U.S. will have them soon.
Christoph Engelhardt@itengelhardt
