I'm 51 years old. I own my own business. I work a minimum of 40 hours per week, 260ish days a year. I have to pay for my insurance. I have to cover every personal expense with my own money just like most Americans. I don't receive paid time off since I personally feel that if I didn't work that I shouldn't get paid for not working. To help retired or low income customers, a lot of times the jobs we sell are break even. I'd rather be comfortable and paying bills and know that I was able to help someone in need than to be rich and selfish.
Here is the question:
How can someone in government represent my interests when they have never had to work like me or live off an income like mine?
Members of Congress, like most government employees, are paid too much fucking money to do absolutely nothing.
Fire them all.
