As I left the meeting, one thought stuck with me: most companies move slowly, not because they lack talent, but because they are afraid to let their talent make mistakes.

The goal is not perfection, it is progress. Build something that works. Ship it. Learn. Iterate. It is a real-world example of what Herbert A. Simon called satisficing—seeking good-enough solutions and refining over time, rather than trying to perfect every decision.

Yesterday, I got to spend some time with a Tesla product manager, and I brought my own preconceived notions. After all, Tesla’s culture is infamous: stories of workaholic environments, employees sleeping in break rooms, and sacrificing everything for the mission.

@Julian88Tex @getmutesync FYI we have some changes we're testing right now. We hope to release them next week and they will resolve some of the unplug/plug issues related to Zoom. If you DM me your email I'll put you on the Beta list to see if it handles your issue.

@getmutesync Hey, reported a bug. I tried unplugging and replugging which sometimes helps but other times it seemed to make it a bit worse when the button got out of sync with zoom. Overall using the restart in-app feature seems to be the best way to make it better.

@getmutesync Hi, been having issues where the button works but the color does not light up unless I click the restart app button, and sometimes open and close the app a few times. This began after updating to Mac OS Ventura 13.0. Any known issue I can follow?

@graceisford @OpenAI @Meta @huggingface @MosaicML @Azure Humans overestimate the uniqueness of their experience (data) and behavior (choices). Outside of hard sciences, I'm skeptical specialized data sets will matter. "It’s possible that more advanced LLMs, e.g. GPT-5, could outperform models trained on specialized vertical data sets."

This was the AskAdStage product we launched 6 years ago. At the time, chatbots were all the rage. There was no #ChatGPT, so we had to write our own logic using the NLP tech of the day. Now excited to be using the new #openai tools to build the next generation of AI interfaces.

@mattslyk @zachmstuck Made in the USA is hard. I started there too, but couldn't find domestic manufactures for our unique consumer electronic. That said, I'd argue, made in China is actually more difficult for a bootstrapper like me. Tariffs, language barrier, physical distance, wire transfers. 😱

@zachmstuck Made in the USA is hard. Most people, consumers or entrepreneurs, don’t appreciate how hard it is to do at any meaningful scale.

The more time I’ve spent building brands, the more I respect the bootstrapped teams that have been able to scale from zero to 8-figures in less then 2 years. We’re on track to do it, but damn it’s no easy feat. Especially when trying to invent products + stay made in the USA.

@BryantJaquez @zachmstuck Agreed, 0-1 is infinitely harder. 1-10 becomes a content and ad buying game, if you’ve gotten to 1 then you typically have a strong, profitable foundation
