Joined the Navy at 15, lied about his age to go. Went to war to get out of the orphanage he grew up in, since arriving from Italy as an infant.
At first, like all, he went along with blind faith and trust, like us in the 90’s.
19, he joined the Army, went to Germany, as infantry. These pices were from the camps.
We would talk on the front porch, while he smoked a cigar.
He wondered why, they never mentioned Americans, his buddies he watch die, only Jews.
That picture with the countries of the fallen, got to him. So many flags.
Why did the Jews get so much attention, and his friends not a mention. No other country either.
His reflection on it all was the look of disbelief and confusion. We helped you and it didn’t seem fair to the moms and dads, their boys lay dead.
He had so many questions. He loved Patton. Thought it was odd he died the way he did.
One of things I noticed now about his photos was the staging and clothes above the ovens. The theatre had already began.
The size of them also. He was 5’10 for scale, they are tiny, not a mass scale cooking machine.

You can say one thing and do another. Hitler went too far. Their ideas on eugenics were untenable. They wanted to euthanize the disabled, physical or mental. Even if you want to deny that the holocaust happened, you cant deny their eugenics stances. I wouldnt deny life to someone with downs. Or someone with a neurological disability like seizures or parkinsons, which hitler himself suffered from. Even by their own standards, hitler would have not been classified as aryan but as a jew. And it is well
Documented that they at the very least expelled people on the basis of looking like him or being like them, even if you want to deny the mass murder of several groups of people.
