It was mentioned in the Open Debate at the @UN @sec_council today, that when one looks across the street at the @UNDP building, one sees the writing and is reminded of its message "No Peace without Development"; "No Development without Peace". Progress in global human development has stalled, while violent conflict has surged to levels not seen in 80 years. This is no coincidence - it reflects deep vulnerabilities left unaddressed. Drawing on @UNDP’s experience, I outlined 3 strategic investments that accelerates early recovery to a deeper resilience: 1️⃣ Protect household economies in fragile contexts. 2️⃣ Address the climate crisis through the lens of human security. 3️⃣ Scale response to cross-border risks of illicit drugs, trafficking & harsh displacement. 🎥 See short clip below 📄 Full remarks: go.undp.org/Ubd
