@wiha - I just got this Long life folding rule, and I noticed it has these diamond markers at strange intervals. Can you tell me what they are for?

@jarkman between the individual posts, you get exactly six, which is why this distance has become a standard. 16-inch spacing is also used, which gives exactly seven posts per plasterboard.

@jarkman In the USA, the standard size of plasterboard for drywall construction is 8 feet (2.43 meters) long. A post construction is required to attach the board. If you choose a distance of 19.2 inches (48.76 centimeters)

@jarkman Hi! In most cases, the origins can be traced back to the USA, including e.g. a Birzman foling ruler model. It's all about American dimensions and construction methods and about their traverses.

Es ist wahrscheinlich normal, wenn sich der spontane Einkauf im Urlaub als ein teures Schnäppchen herausstellt. Einkauf im @wiha Werksverkauf zu 15% Rabatt ist immer noch 20 Prozent teurer als der typische Versandhandel … Aber ich habe mich zwei Tage gefreut 🤷‍♂️😎
