Excited to announce we are backed by @ycombinator (W26) 3 weeks ago, my co-founder @berasogut1 and I quit our jobs at @vercel and @google to start @orthogonal_sh . We are on a mission to help companies make their APIs discoverable & payable by AI agents. In that time, we built the product and onboarded our initial customers. Things are coming together. We haven’t slept much, but we are incredibly excited about all the interest so far. Bera moved into my 1-bedroom and took over my living room. I realized recently I’ve been too cautious with my youth. Playing life like a spreadsheet. Optimizing. Protecting. Trying to engineer safety instead of chasing meaning. But the truth is, you don’t get lore from balance sheets. You get it from chaos. From falling in love in a country where you barely speak the language. From starting something with no plan but raw conviction. From saying yes when every logical part of you screams no. The best people I know aren’t optimized. They’re scarred, reckless, unforgettable. Walking novels. People who failed loudly, loved stupidly, and risked everything just to feel alive. They have gravity. And even when it didn’t work, they became more them. That’s the secret. The point isn’t just success. The point is character. Lore. Being the person who actually lived. Your 20s aren’t for caution. They’re for becoming someone worth remembering. Take risks. Wreck yourself. Build something impossible. Because one day, all you’ll have are the stories you did or didn’t create. Loremaxxing isn’t a meme. It’s the only way to become unforgettable.
