@JanelleWaz I was deeply torn between Rogue Squadron or KOTOR -- and opted for Empire at War's Rebel Alliance campaign.

@Pirat_Nation If they're using AI for literally everything they're just demonstrating how completely unnecessary they and their job is. They're going to get laid off en mass, and not understand that they did it to themselves.

Disney’s internal AI Adoption Dashboard shows one employee made over 51,000 Claude API calls per workday. In just 9 workdays, 4,800 tech and product employees at Disney consumed 3.1 billion Claude tokens and 13.3 billion Cursor tokens, the heaviest user alone recorded 460,600 invocations and 234 million tokens. All of this prompts are powered by autonomous AI agents, one initial prompt launches a chain of agents that break down tasks Managers rolled out the dashboard to track adoption and spending, and they’re now actively pushing teams to use more AI. Some of the engineers have turned it into a friendly internal competition they call “tokenmaxxing” Software teams at Disney are quietly shifting from writing every line of code themselves to let all the work to AI agents.

@chucktodd I agree the cap should be changed. One pesky problem that'll cause though: the House will need tons of additional offices built, and a much larger chamber to seat the thousand or more extra Reps altering the cap will result in.

There really is only one way to improve representation for all Americans in Congress: UNCAP THE HOUSE! It’s what the founders intended; they did NOT want to see Congressional Districts that were bigger than most major cities. Want to dilute the influence of courts and partisans, UNCAP THE HOUSE!

My county got three different tornado warnings in one day. Congrats on the hat trick, I suppose.

@IdeasFactory009 @TechLayoffLover Its kinda already started. Albania has a cabinet minister that's an AI, and last fall it was announced that she was "pregnant" with 80 some-odd "children".

A technical recruiter with 15 years in enterprise tech just broke down on our call Says she's placed 8,400 engineers across her career. Built relationships with hiring managers at every major platform, fintech, and SaaS outfit on the West Coast This quarter she's gotten 14 job orders. Fourteen. For the entire Bay Area Average applications per senior role: 3,847 candidates Average applications per junior role: 8,200+ before the posting gets pulled Companies aren't even pretending anymore. One hiring manager told her straight: "We're only posting compliance roles. Legal says we have to show we tried hiring humans before we automate" Another client just implemented a policy: no human hires without board approval. The board meets quarterly She watched a Series B startup pull a $180k ML engineer posting after 48 hours. 6,100 applications. They hired nobody Same company announced their new AI agent completed the project in 6 weeks. Cost them $4,000 in compute credits Her biggest client just banned junior engineers entirely. "Too much AI babysitting required" The applications keep flooding in while the jobs disappear faster than she can track them She used to pride herself on 89% placement rates This year it's 0.2% She's watching an entire generation of engineers get systematically replaced by systems that cost less than their weekly coffee budget And the executives ordering the replacements are making more money than they've ever made in their lives

@fandompulse He shouldn't be lashing out online, but I also urge people to show him some grace. He's going through something very difficult. Taunting him and rubbing it in his face is so cruel, and helps nothing.

@fandompulse I think people aren't realizing he's clearly grieving. SFA meant so much to him. He'd wanted to reprise his role for 20 years, and was so proud of what they'd made. It's understandable that seeing it not do well has been an extremely painful experience.

Robert Picardo blames audiences for not understanding Gene Roddenberry's "values" as to why Star Trek: Starfleet Academy was canceled: "Gene Roddenberry's values, [but] was out of step with today's changing political and cultural climate."Every NuTrek show is canceled. The sets are demolished. Kurtzman's contract expires this year. Andy Weir called the shows "shit" on the Critical Drinker podcast. What values is he talking about?

@dumbbitchcap This isn't fantasizing, though. They were actual victims. These are core memories and events in their lives. The latter going back every year to the hike is a form of exposure therapy and a sign of Strength for not letting what happened stop her.
