Texas Legislators, please (1) raise the BA to match the $8,000 voucher (2) base funding on enrollment (3) don’t collect money that was not paid to Districts because they provide a LOHE and (4) return any un-used Recapture money to the districts who pay Recapture.

@GregAbbott_TX Hello, Gov. Abbott. I was recently elected to the SBISD board of trustees with record turnout. 59% of our district is economically disadvantaged yet we pay millions in recapture. We are about to fall off a financial cliff if the state doesn’t raise the basic allotment.
