I want to say as the Chairman of the Senate Local Government Committee, this statement by @Lujan405, the Director of Special Programs at Denton ISD, is absolutely electioneering! Using state resources for political purposes should have never occurred at @dentonisd, or any other ISD around the state. Electioneering is apparently one of the reasons that the former Superintendent of @FortBendISD resigned, as the "Jeans Day" program crossed the line. (x.com/teambettencour… ). The Denton ISD email is even worse because as @bradj_TX shows, the email has a link to specific candidate recommendations which is outrageous! Also, I am very concerned about the inflammatory public pronouncements like @diboll_isd Superintendent Brian Bowman referenced in the email, or even others from Superintendent Blaine of @SBISD, @AledoISD, et al... Where is the public policy line here @teainfo, @TXAG? At this point I think we need to have a hearing concerning electioneering within ISDs, then I will file additional legislation if necessary. @CreightonForTX @SenBryanHughes @joanhuffman @AngelaPaxtonTX @DanPatrick #txlege #txed

As winter approaches, Texas is taking key steps to ensure our power grid remains reliable. @ERCOT_ISO has deployed new winterization inspectors, worked with generators & transmission operators to schedule maintenance & prepare for winter, and more. More: bit.ly/3RvE2WQ

Here Morath blames our budget crisis on a reduction in enrollment. It’s true that enrollment is down a bit since COVID but @SBISD has never been a “high growth” district. I guess @MikeMorath hasn’t been to SBISD but there isn’t anywhere for our district to grow! We haven’t been growing for a decade. We are landlocked and if anything losing students as apartment developments slowly turn into townhome communities. We adjusted our staffing post-COVID in the ‘21-‘22 school year - this is just another lazy and false allegation to distract from the real funding problem.

Not a Pre-K program anywhere in the great state of Texas better than @SBISD - we are parent choice every.single.time. Click link & arrow to view- Premier program in Houston! Bring on that $8,000 per student! We win every time! #T24 @LionLanePrek fb.watch/lcf16_EDCC/?mi…

Congratulations to Michele Gabriel, principal of The Lion Lane School in the @SBISD , for being selected as a Schools Transforming Learning winner for 2023! @mgabriel1992

📢 Contact @GovAbbott & request a Special Session to increase the Basic Allotment. On Mon., the 88th Texas Legislative Session ended with the Senate & House unable to agree on HB 100, the only legislation to increase public ed funding. 📲 bit.ly/DrBlaineUpdate… #FullyFundSBISD

What if you had a governor who punished #txed by withholding critical funding increases and much-deserved teacher pay raises—while sitting on a $30 billion plus budget surplus—because #txlege wouldn’t give him a voucher plan to placate his national handlers? In fact, you do.

I guess @SBISD isn’t the only district that is facing severe and devastating budget cuts because #txlege refuses to fully fund pub ed. Spring ISD considers cutting to the bone- things like bus service to school. @TeamBettencourt @ManoForStateRep

Taxman says no TX proposal will include $1K increase to basic allotment. Is anyone surprised to learn that FL figured it out? They have leaders. Ours are out of touch. The $1K inflation adjustment @SBISD has been seeking seems about right. Let’s figure it out @TeamBettencourt
