MNF Score Prediction Buffalo Bills (-1) @ New York Jets Bills 23 – Jets 20 The Jets have the advantage of a new HC (Jeff Ulbrich) and new Offensive play caller (Todd Downing) this week. Not much can change in terms of scheme in one week, but the Jets Offensive tendencies and/or personnel will likely be different. Downing was OC in Tennessee in 2021 when Derrick Henry rushed for 937 yards and 10 TDs in 8 games, and finished 12-5. It makes a lot of sense for the Jets to give Breece Hall and Braelon Allen plenty of carries. Bigger RBs give Buffalo the most trouble. Jets want to force Buffalo’s smaller DBs Cam Lewis/Damar Hamlin/Cole Bishop to make a tackle. Once the Bills dedicate extra guys to stop the run, Aaron Rodgers can use his precision passing on the outside to get chunk plays. Recently the Bills offense has struggled so far against blitzes with man coverage behind it. Losing their best man-beater Stefon Diggs has affected them. They also haven’t proved they can stretch the field, which typically would scare a Defense away from blitzing. The Bills have an uphill battle against this sticky Jets defense. They should start putting their faith in pass catchers like Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid to make big time catches against man coverage.
