@GaReth_Rutter I’m enjoying the ‘finish’ to those icons though.

My perspective on work, and how to manage it within my life has really evolved this year. I used to set aggressive deadlines for projects, and crank through the work desperate to get to the end, largely looking for relief from the grind of it. This left me feeling hungry for the finish line with every project, never enjoying the process or allowing the work to gel with the rest of my life and become part of my life’s rhythm, instead it was always a foreign body that needed to be exorcised as quickly as possible. Ironically I’ve given the advice to ‘find something where you enjoy the process or you’ll wish your life away’ so many times but never really integrated it myself. But now I’m being gentler on myself with timelines, building in that space so I have room to breathe, and live and dare I say it maybe even enjoy. I’m also more flexible in general, doing some smaller budget projects I never would have taken on a year ago, but the work is super cool and the clients are really nice and chill. Part of me feels a little dumb because I realise this is no genius revelation, this is likely how a lot of, if not most designers work. My overly rigid and unforgiving attitude towards myself had just created this inhospitable work environment. It was efficient, it made money, but it wasn’t enjoyable. That all changes now. ✨

Who else spends way too much time finding the perfect emoji for their @NotionHQ doc before getting started?

It's a privilege to be back on the @awwwards jury this year.
I will be looking for enhancements that actually enrich the experience rather than superfluous, and let's face it frictionful flourishes... Yes, I'm looking at you, "Click & Drag"!

Thinking of getting some prints commissioned for the @StudioRotate studio. Anyone have any recommendations for a UK illustrator?
(Bright, graphic, playful vibes)

@mlesplmer I find the insights from Pitch analytics both enlightening and infuriating. Mainly the latter.
