"Let those who love n****rs better than whites follow me, & we will see who loves his Country best— a n****r as such is a most excellent fellow, but he is not fit to marry, to associate, or vote with me, or mine." -General Sherman 3/24/1865 #history #ushistory #AmericanHistory

Yeah I'm completely aboard the Gavin train right now. He's a handsome 6'3" white guy, irredeemably evil, genuinely loathes Republicans, and even cucked Don Jr (likely 2028 nominee). It's perfect, no possible improvement.

.@BernieSanders: "It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well."

As in 2016, it's likely another leftist wave is on the horizon now. While the previous one stagnated into pro-status quo social democracy, being post-2020 and post-Gaza puts a new leftist wave on much better footing. Despite everything else this is something to look towards.

BREAKING: According to state Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, bomb threats at two polling locations in Georgia originated from Russia.

.@JDVance: "If you discard a lifelong friendship because somebody votes for the other team, you've made a terrible mistake... Don't cast aside family members and lifelong friendships. Politics is not worth it."

This comment by Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is inappropriate, and were it said about another foreign leader, or about Kamala Harris, it would also be inappropriate. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s true; it’s part of the drip, drip where government leaders feel increasingly comfortable weighing in on foreign elections. JD Vance is a U.S. Senator, and Zelenskyy has a right to comment on what Vance says about Ukraine, but not in the context of a presidential election, and certainly not with this sort of response, which is about a judgment call and doesn’t offer context. If the reporter had not pressed forward, would Zelenskyy have offered context? There’s a reason leaders issue formal statements, usually through their foreign ministry, about comments made by elected officials in other countries. Also, Zelenskyy says this while he and his country are the beneficiaries of over $170 billion in military aid, thanks to the generosity of the American taxpayer. It’s a mistake to weigh in this way for the sake of his people; he doesn’t know who is going to win. I criticized Viktor Orbán — a man I have made clear I am no fan of — for suggesting he wanted a Trump victory the other day, but at least he’s not dependent on our government’s appropriations to the extent Ukraine is. Foolish and sloppy.

This week, I had the great honor of meeting and spending time with Jerry Wartski, a 94-year-old Auschwitz survivor. It's difficult to fathom the courage and strength demonstrated by Jerry and so many others who suffered through the unspeakable depravities of the Holocaust. I'm incredibly grateful to have met him and heard his story.

@mattyglesias Kamala Harris wants to give illegal immigrants Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. So it's actually Kamala Harris who wants to bankrupt these programs. Vote Trump to save these important programs!
