I completely disagree on the budget point if Memphis is spending more than the rest it’s by a slim margin just based on the talent they have, and he’s had solid rosters compared to the rest of the aac transfers/high school kids arent running to the aac to play ball it’s a top 60 job in the country at best

This is tiresome. Few head coaches over the last decade have been given more benefit of the doubt by their administration and fans than Penny, despite delivering mixed results. And that will be doubly true if he’s brought back next year.

I hate to bring this back but these were my thoughts on Memphis after the loss to UNLV (which looks even worse today). When you have a team of guys who have never really won before … you really can’t be surprised when they don’t win.

Our program needs to get with the times whether its Penny or whoever as head coach. It’s clearly not working and hasn’t worked in his 8 years.

Memphis is making Tulsa extremely uncomfortable on offense. Not generating any kind of offense or decent shots. Haven't seen a ton of the Golden Hurricane this season but the eye test very loudly says they gamed their way to a Top 60 rating.
