Kyle Kuzma's 9 yr career earnings: $107 MILLION. Michael Jordan's 17 yr career earning: $93 MILLION. I really feel bad for you Kuz. You're being squeezed so hard in today's "terrible" NBA.

After sitting here watching NBA free agency this year and overall NBA movement over the past 2 years somebody has to say it.... The new CBA was sold as parity, but the first and second apron are starting to function like a hard cap on player value, team continuity, and player movement. Teams are no longer making purely basketball decisions. They’re making fear-based apron decisions. That means good players get squeezed, homegrown cores get broken up, fan-favorite teams lose their identity, and the overall product loses some of the nostalgia and continuity that made people fall in love with the NBA in the first place. This isn’t about players not understanding business. It’s the opposite. We understand that the NBA is a business. That’s why the @TheNBPA has to operate with elite business acumen, elite negotiating strategy, and real foresight. The owners and the league walk into these meetings with killers that continue to run circles around us time and time again with elite lawyers, economists, cap experts, media strategists, and long term business operators. Players deserve a PA that is just as sharp, just as prepared, and just as aggressive about protecting our upside. Too often, it feels like players are informed after the fact instead of being truly educated and empowered before decisions are made. That cannot continue. The next CBA is a do or die moment for us as players. It's only going to get worse for us. We need transparency, accountability, and a serious re evaluation of who is representing us and how they are representing us. This is not anti parity. This is pro player, fan, and product. The league is strongest when players are valued properly, great teams can stay together, and the people representing us are operating at the same level as the people sitting across the table.

In short: Police say Terrion Arnold coordinated (and watched via stream 😳) a kidnap/beating of men he thought had stolen his stuff, only they hadn’t.
Ari Meirov@MySportsUpdate

The full Terrion Arnold story, according to Tampa Police, is stunning: Police say this all started after Terrion Arnold and several others had property stolen from an Airbnb Arnold rented in Largo in early February. Investigators say Arnold believed some of the eventual victims were responsible, even though police later determined they were not involved in that theft. On February 3, police say Arnold and Boakai Hilton — who investigators say helped coordinate the alleged setup — directed Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo to contact one of the victims and lure him to an apartment in Tampa. Around midnight on February 4, investigators say the victims arrived at the apartment. Once they entered a bedroom, police say Christion Williams and Lyndell Hudson — who had been hiding in a closet — jumped out, grabbed the victims, held them at gunpoint, and attacked them. Investigators say the incident was streamed to Arnold, Hilton, and Freddie Hughes while they were traveling to the apartment. Police also say there was a group chat involving the defendants, and that Arnold and Hilton gave directions through that chat while the attack was happening. About an hour later, police say Arnold arrived at the apartment with Hilton, Hughes, and another person, and that he directed them to go inside while the robbery was still going on. Investigators say property was stolen from the victims during the attack. At around 1:40 a.m., police say the victims were escorted out of the apartment by armed suspects and forced into their vehicle before leaving the scene. Police say Del Valle, Williams, and another individual then got into a vehicle driven by Arnold and left the area. The victims later reported the incident to Tampa Police and identified the suspects. After search warrants were executed and the investigation continued, detectives arrested multiple people in the case over the following weeks. Police say Arnold was the primary conspirator in the alleged robbery/kidnapping plot. He turned himself in Wednesday night and is now facing 4 counts of kidnapping and 4 counts of armed robbery.

#Lions CB Terrion Arnold is the seventh person arrested in connection with this incident. Two co-defendants — Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo — pleaded guilty to their roles on Wednesday. Randazzo was sentenced to four years in Florida State Prison, while Del Valle entered an open plea and will be sentenced at a later date. Both are also required to testify truthfully in any further proceedings related to the case.

Here is the letter from the NFL’s Management Council to Brendan Sorsby: Dear Mr. Sorsby:   We are in receipt of your Petition for Special Eligibility, dated June 16, 2026 (“Petition”).  As announced earlier today, the League has elected not to conduct a Supplemental Draft this year.   Under our Collective Bargaining Agreement, the League retains sole discretion to determine whether it is appropriate to conduct a Supplemental Draft in any given year. The League has not conducted such a draft for several years and, prior to your submission, the League had no plans to do so this year, as no other player has sought entry. Your Petition—filed three business days before the deadline, without any supporting information or documentation, and only after abandoning your recent litigation efforts to avoid NCAA sanctions—does not provide a basis for the League to alter those plans. The issues presented by your Petition are too significant, and too closely tied to the League’s core integrity interests, to permit meaningful review within the timeline presented.   The sole reasons identified in your Petition for seeking entry into the Supplemental Draft are that you have been “declared ineligible” by the NCAA, have “exhausted all of [your] avenues to continue in the NCAA,” and “want to now play in the NFL.” The Petition provides no information regarding the basis for, or timing of, the NCAA’s decision. Public sources, however, indicate that in May 2026 the NCAA issued a determination declaring you permanently ineligible from participation in college athletics, based on a sustained pattern of improper gambling activity during your collegiate career at three different universities.   The League does not have the complete record of the NCAA’s investigation, and you did not provide any such materials with your Petition. Available information nonetheless indicates that, over the course of your collegiate career, you knowingly engaged in repeated and significant violations of NCAA rules designed to preserve the integrity of athletic competition. Reported conduct includes placing wagers on your own team and teammates and, to avoid detection, establishing or funding accounts in the names of intermediaries who placed bets on your behalf. There are also reports that you may have violated state criminal law.   Your Petition does not address these matters. Nor does it demonstrate accountability for your conduct or indicate whether, or how, you would adhere to the League’s rules and policies governing the integrity of competition. Instead, even after receiving notice of the NCAA’s decision rescinding your college eligibility in May, you sought to avoid the consequences of that determination through litigation rather than accepting responsibility for your actions, and you pursued entry into the NFL only after abandoning those efforts.   As Commissioner Goodell has emphasized, participation in the NFL is a privilege that carries with it significant responsibilities, including accountability. By all accounts, you are a talented player with the potential for future success. We encourage you to focus on preparing for possible entry into the NFL through the 2027 NFL Annual Draft.   Sincerely, Lawrence P. Ferazani, Jr.
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet

The NFL has informed teams that it will NOT be holding a Supplemental Draft, meaning Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby will not be eligible to enter the NFL in 2026. The CBA allows the league to decide whether to hold a Supplemental Draft, and this year, it won’t.

The NFL's position on Brendan Sorsby seems to conflict with the language of the CBA regarding eligibility for a supplemental draft -- and with the NFL's established pattern of allowing eligible players into the supplemental draft. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…
