700 000 Albertans DID NOT REQUEST A REFERENDUM!
Almost 500 000 signed a petition to stay in Canada. Those petitioners wanted a vote on the question to be addressed in the Legislature. Smith refused because that would reveal the MLAs who support separation.

Danielle Smith is sounding more American every day. Talking about elected judges like that’s normal here, except it isn’t. In Canada, judges are appointed to protect independence, not turned into political contests.

@MondoABx Every MLA should be made to wear a diaper and spend four days in a continuing care home. Always understaffed. UCP is OK with free millions to Sam the Scam but crickets for continuing care. If you don't have family there to assist, you will be neglected.

@magnevision1 @MondoABx Make it four weeks, then incapacitate their bodies and keep their minds fully aware of what’s happening around them. I worked for AHS and spent a couple times a day in the long-term care facility at a rural hospital. Cut backs then were brutal on the patients. I can’t imagine now

More than 700,000 Albertans signed a petition for a referendum. Disenfranchising those voters won't go over well. Alberta should remain in Canada. Canada should work for Alberta. Denying Albertans a vote is not the way to achieve that.

@JasonOnTheDrums Joining the US would have the average family of four gain $17,000 annually and put Alberta solidly in the top 1/3 of states. Alberta would also gain lower taxes and would be safely under the shield of the most powerful military on the planet. We would also conceal carry firearms.
