Today was the funeral of Sherry Waldon, who was our colleague and the longest living former LC worker - on 4 August, Sherry would have been 103. Sherry was a caseworker, trainer and Tribunal advocate in our Supp. Benefit days. Much loved - RIP Sherry.

Wishing a very Happy Birthday to our former colleague Sherry Waldon, who is 102 today! A remarkable achievement. Sherry was our Benefits expert between 1981 and 1986. Still as sharp as ever today! #LCtoday

Big shout out to our former colleague Sherry, who will be 102 in two weeks' time, still plays Scrabble and could probably still argue a case at a Supp Benefits Appeal Tribunal (as was). #LCtoday

Quick but super heartfelt thank you to former and current colleagues, and Steering Group members, and trainees, and DJs Whiteley and Cronin, for wishing me a great retirement. Will try - but first there is a possible JR in Newbury to sort out ... #LCtoday

Today is the day that one of the founders of Wiltshire Law Centre, @RichardHazell8, retires after 50 years of working in Law Centres. His contribution to the movement has been immense. The recognition he has received for his work is utterly deserved. Thank you, Richard.

Whilst the Tribunal has an inquisitorial function, it can help your appeal when you have a professional representative. We can help identify the appropriate legal grounds, provide a written submission, apply crucial case law, and provide an understanding of the regulations.

ARE YOU APPEALING A BENEFITS DECISION? As we know from research, people with disabilities are among the hardest hit by the current cost of living crisis. PIP appeal numbers up by almost 120%. This week alone we have helped people secure over £18,500 in backdated benefit.
