This week’s #MysteryImage - gorgeous stratovolcano & 2nd highest active volcano in the world (per Wikipedia). First climbed by the Incas & located in one of the world’s driest places, its name means “deceitful water,” as its meltwater is absorbed into its soil.

This week's #MysteryImage - this ancient Bronze Age city has seen Hittite, Phrygian, Greek, Persian, Ottoman, & Roman influence as well as many other peoples, with a large number of archaeological sites and museums. Population of 5.1 million, became its country's capital in 1923.
