Take a moment to thank and appreciate PROJ today, as it celebrates its earliest available commit (even though the project goes back to the 70's/80's). Here's that commit: github.com/OSGeo/PROJ/com… Thanks to all of the contributors over so many decades! #foss4g

Every now and then I pop over to the University of Redlands to share some mappy gumption with students. Today was one of those days.

Ready for a puzzler? 🧩 This satellite image shows a place on our planet. Can you tell where it is? We’ll share the answer tomorrow morning (March 17) at 11am ET.

Happy Year of the Horse! I was fortunate to be looking out of the Cupola while we were passing over Beijing, and saw the twinkling of fireworks celebrating the Lunar New Year!

Thanks for the CC, @DaveAtCOGS! 🚀📍 Your interactive map is the perfect companion to @Soph_astro’s updates. It turns a single video into a global data point we can all navigate. Precision meets inspiration for #Expedition74. ✨🛰️

A view of a (cargo) Dragon from a (crew) Dragon. The @SpaceX cargo Dragon 33 vehicle departed from @Space_Station today. We’ve been busy packing it full of experiment samples, hardware, and items that need to be returned to Earth. Goodbye Dragon! Thanks for your hefty delivery to the ISS, you served us well!

The beauty of the Earth remained just as fresh after 205 days of my previous mission, and now fills me with awe once again. One of my favorite daytime passes is over Africa, yes the entire continent (the one continent I have not yet set foot upon!). The variety of colors and textures is astounding from coast to coast. A few shots from my first 2 weeks back on the @Space_Station. #EarthArt

What a view: ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot in the cupola on the International Space Station, taking a photo. Proof that sometimes a photo of someone taking a photo just works. #internationalcollaboration

Day 017, orbit 0269 – Throwback to one of the first pictures of Crew‑12 in space… and we were of course looking back at Earth from this orbital vantage point. First‑ and second‑time fliers united in their love for our home planet and their awe at its beauty. We were at a loss for words to describe how stunning Earth is – and how this view made us feel. This picture was taken on Saturday 14 February, during the 34 hours SpaceX Dragon Freedom spent chasing the Station before docking. 📷 Credit: @esa /@NASA /@SpaceX
