@WindowsOC199 @Tybernicus17 I paid nothing. They were to cover 75% of my deductible but after the cluster-f, I refused to pay my 25%. I told them I'd not post a review describing my issues there if they waved 100%. An OEE with the acoustic inlay, green tint, rain sensor, was quoted just under 700.

Ffs, I specifically researched a good company to replace my cracked windshield. They've now completed it & im making them redo it. Fucking sealant oozed out on my roof, not even centered, and theres a huge bubble behind their adhesive where they mounted my mirror. I'm livid!

@Vern_76 Its so hard to find a trade or professional of quality. However it can happen. My insurance broker of about 8 years is amazing. Not the company the person I deal with. I can't sing her praises enough. When you find such, treasure, nurture.

@ThrillaRilla369 I used to drive a friend to work who was like 3 minutes out the way no big deal. I've never asked for gas he never gave me gas never thought about it. One day windshield cracked he gave me the money to replace it without me asking him to.

If a coworker has a car and lives near my house, and drives me to work every day, am I obligated to chip in for gas?

Dropped my Rivian R1T at Safelite for a cracked windshield. Four hours later they call: ‘Good news, it’s installed! Bad news, we put in a gen 2 windshield on your gen 1. Now we gotta wait seven days for the glue to dry before we can remove it and install the right one.’ Safelite repair, Safelite replace… Safelite replace twice? Guess I have a extra hole with no camera to add to it 😂

@VoltPilotDan @Eryksmodel3 @safelite Pre-Flight check, internal and external checklist before departure. Friend of mine is a pilot and he's very disciplined when flying. Said that most air accidents are caused by pilots not the plane because some pilots get too comfortable.

I bought a second hand 2009 Prius four years ago. A friend misplaced the electronic key. Cost me $2000 to get the entire dashboard removed and the computer system that deals with the electronic key upgraded. The car had sat for a while without the battery being used. Mechanic told me it would cost 4-5k to replace the hybrid battery. This whole time I owned it I felt so good about helping to save the planet. The repairs of the high tech systems are worth more than the car now so I had to give it away to save the cost of towing. With the new digital surveillance in autos our subjection will be complete. An old school fossil fuel engine and a metal car key give you far more power, privacy and autonomy.

@naomirwolf My mom has a Nissan leaf that’s 2-3 years old. Windshield got hit with a pebble and cracked. $1200 to replace the “smart” windshield and $500 to “calibrate it”. I have a 2017 Mitsubishi outlander. $400 to replace my windshield.
