@Paiges_of_Art It's also like the personalities of the characters changes in significant ways bc of the gender swap, like Michaela is gentle w Fran in ways that would be ooc for Michael, and so having that sardonic tone in the books where just the pronouns are swapped always gives me whiplash

simply changing the pronouns in WHWW is a good example of why writing queer stories no different than straight ones almost never works. even removing the problematic scenes, michaela has a different existence than michael and her story with fran will change (imo for the better)
