The State Department was used as the conduit for the United Nations who ran our country through Blinken.
Rubio knows this because it was the Senate who created the bills that funded it. He was a sitting Senator and so was JD Vance when they did it.

I love seeing posts by @johnkonrad . Not just because he’s right, but because he reminds us what used to be well and good in America.
He speaks to the might of a nation. A nation that once built ships that defied the laws of nature... and kept them immaculate.
A nation that aimed for the stars, paved vast road networks, and lit up the world with our ambition.
I talk about warfighting readiness. He speaks to something deeper..... The soul of a country.
The pride of looking around and seeing greatness in every direction.
We used to build things. Big things. Impossible things. Things that made the world stop and stare.
Bridges that defied gravity. Shipyards that roared with life. Rivers made navigable not by nature, but by will.
Somewhere along the way, we stopped. We outsourced the muscle. We buried the vision.
But that spirit.... the one that carved harbors from wilderness and turned open plains into engines of industry.... it’s still in us. Somewhere.
It’s time to remember.
It’s time to build again.

There was no Twitter 20 years ago, but if there was, I’d have been yelling: “Why aren’t we flooding Iraq with Seabee battalions?” Now we know why: Halliburton got the cash, and the Seabees got gutted. Time to fix that. Quadruple Seabee funding. Put them to work rebuilding every American shipyard. And while we’re at it? Transfer a quarter of all Army soldiers into the Corps Engineers then have then rebuild America’s industrial waterfront along our inland rivers. It’s time to rebuild the nation starting at the waterline. SeeBees should be leading the way.

There was a shocking announcement last night that the federal government reversed course on the Empire Wind Project. We were stunned to see this news. We believe that offshore wind anywhere is a terrible idea. And this project off New York and New Jersey lies in an especially important area—from a national security, environmental and economic perspective.
We supported the President’s policy against offshore wind development. And we celebrated Secretary Bergum’s decision to stop the Empire Wind project a few weeks ago. At the time, he said Equinor ‘rushed through by the prior administration without sufficient analysis or consultation among the relevant agencies as relates to the potential effects from the project.’
What changed in the past six weeks?
Offshore wind is an extremely expensive, inefficient and unreliable source of power. It harms wildlife, including some of the most endangered mammals on planet Earth.
We will fight to protect our coastal and marine ecosystems from the devastation brought by offshore wind construction and operations. We won’t stop until every scrap of steel is removed from the ocean. And we will work to ensure that government officials fully understand the ramifications to public safety, commerce and national defense Empire Wind represents.
