@spittinchiclets How exactly is he shutting them up? By performing in a different division against weaker opponents. We all knew he was good, just not under pressure. There's no pressure playing the Ducks.

@the_habitant Pretty wild to bring up the Leafs when your team is going to conference finals? When the Leafs are in the playoffs their fans don't mention the Habs. Mind you- the experience doesn't usually last long. Canada will be getting behind the Habs here. Get the Leafs off your mind.

Over the last 5 years #GoHabsGo went to the Stanley cup finals, finished last in the standings, bottomed out as one of the 5 worst teams in the league for 3 consecutive years, and are now back to the conference finals. Meanwhile, the Leafs haven’t won 2 rounds since 2002 😭💀

@MarissaRoberto What exactly we're you right about?? That he was a good player or that he couldn't handle the pressure in a big market team especially in the east. We all knew that. Regardless of that the Leafs offered him an 8 year extension to which he declined. Incredible foresight you have.

@worldhockeyrpt They offered him a big contract and he took the same amount to play for Vegas. Couldn't handle the pressure in the eastern conference.

@G403Cowan @Berger_BYTES Not according to all major NHL scouts. McKenna is #1 on every mock draft even before the Leafs got the pick. McKenna's ceiling is alot higher. The Sweede is more NHL ready currently. That's not what you draft for at 1OA.

If I’m John Chayka: Select McKenna or the best defenceman in the draft. Get Matthews AND Nylander to ultimately waive. Acquire a top defense and forward prospect from rival clubs and a couple mid-round picks. Get whatever you can for Rielly or buy him out. The culture malaise totally changes. Within three years, you have a young, perennial #StanleyCup threat. Providing, of course, roster balance is attained… and goaltending finally sorts itself out. #Leafs #LeafsForever

Listening to Bukala talk about Stenberg, how has watched him play a ton for years… … then he said Sundin has probably watched him a lot too since “he plays for Djurgardens right in Stockholm 10 minutes from Mats’ house” Stenberg has plays for Frolunda in Gothenburg

@HockeyPatrol I would pump the brakes. The kid is 165lbs and struggled in the first couple months of college hockey. It's a hell of a jump to the NHL from NCAA. Expectations should be lowered.

@KrilleOfficial @Ss150317646859S 0% chance Leafs pick Ivan. You pick the best player in the draft. Come back to this. Its a cute conversation until the draft though I get it. Whoever got first was taking McKenna- Didn't matter who got it.

@WinnyBuilt @Ss150317646859S Sundin will want to change the Soft leafs era, so i doubt he picks another soft player like McKenna... Ivar is just an allrounder... yes McKenna has higher upside on the offensive production. But that's EVER so slightly that Ivar just all around makes up for it a metric fkton.

@OmegaFan2023 @Xposed McKenna is coming to a much better team than those two did and will likely be on the wing of Matthews. If he's getting first line minutes with a perennial goal scorer then his stats will likely be inflated. More plays into it than "being the same tier" as Bedard or Celebrini.

@Xposed 1st overall picks rookie years: Connor Bedard- 61 points Celbrini= 63 points Lafrenier- 21 points Jack Hughes- 21 points Hischier- 52 points Matthews- 69 points Mckenna is not the Celebrin, Bedard or Matthews tier he is lower. 50 point winger = bottom 5 to playoffs? lol
