We hired a consulting firm to tell us why our profits are down. They sent three 24-year-olds wearing vests. They spent two months interviewing us about our own jobs. Then they put our answers into a PowerPoint presentation. They charged us $250K for this privilege. During the final readout, one of them used the phrase synergy optimization without blinking. I looked around the conference room. Our CEO was nodding like he just received the Ten Commandments. The grand conclusion was that we need to increase revenue and decrease costs. I could've told them that for a gift card to Panera. But nobody listens to the guy who works here. You only listen to the guy who flies in on a Tuesday. I'm updating my resume to include synergy optimization. It feels like the right move.

Shri Rohit Pawar met me today and submitted a letter raising serious concerns about the investigation into the Baramati aircraft crash that claimed the life of Shri Ajit Pawar ji and others. Basic principles of law appear not to have been followed, and no FIR has been registered despite the seriousness of the matter. This incident warrants a fair, transparent, and impartial investigation.

Parliamentary privilege is not a licence for character assassination. If procedure is used as camouflage for defamation, the House has every reason to view it seriously. When a member uses the cover of parliamentary procedure to defame an individual on a matter unrelated to the substantive debate, it does not elevate debate, it degrades the House. Parliamentary privilege exists to protect free speech for public purpose, not to convert a discussion on India’s energy security into a vehicle for personal slander. Under parliamentary practice, questions of privilege and contempt can arise where conduct lowers the dignity of the House or obstructs its proper functioning, though whether this specific case qualifies would be for the Speaker and the House to decide. From serious debate to cheap sideshow, only a joker could manage that fall so effortlessly.
