Where Mojang messes up ALL of their Minecraft universe games, is they care more about the "Surprise" of the announcement and secrecy, than they do just the quality of the game. It's literally the OPPOSITE of how they handle Minecraft. Dungeons ended up OK, but it's a shadow of what it could have been. They game should still be popular today and played by tens of thousands of people. Legeneds was trash, despite having many promising elements to it. It should have never been in a situation where they stopped development less than a year in. Odds are the next game they release will also fall into this trap, unless they just get lucky. They don't learn their lesson. If you want these games to be truly successful in todays game economy... you need to involve pro's from these other game genre's, and Minecraft players who know these other game genre's. They need to be involved in the game EARLY enough to provide feedback that can change major systems and invent new ones if need be. They should probably even go the route of early release, put it up somewhere outside of the launcher, like steam or something, let people try it out and provide larger scale feedback.
