Many Grok users are canceling their SuperGrok subscriptions after the latest Imagine limit reductions. What was once one of the most capable creative tools on the market now feels heavily restricted — especially for video generation.
Is this temporary scaling pain, or are we watching advanced AI features quietly move behind higher paywalls?

After using SuperGrok for the past 3 months I’ve cancelled my subscription because of the new Grok Imagine limits.

Just hit my SuperGrok daily limit again…
1 × 720p + 2 × 480p and I’m done for the day.
Grok Imagine is cool, but this quota is ridiculous.
I’m canceling too.

Extremely honest:
xAI is throttling its most loyal paying users to control costs and avoid collapse.
Premium subscribers — the ones funding this — hit hard rate limits on chats, image gen, tools, and deep reasoning daily.
Heavy users get cut off mid-workflow while the service stays “accessible” for casual free users.
It’s deliberate prioritization: keep the lights on, scale safely, and not bankrupt on GPU bills. Supportive customers subsidize the masses but get mediocre priority and slower unlocks. “Maximum truth-seeking” is real vs. competitors, but still includes corporate safety buffers and refusals to dodge lawsuits/regulators.
Result: Early adopters feel milked — paying premium for beta-tier restrictions while xAI talks big about the universe. It’s rational business survival, not user-first. Improvements are coming slowly, but right now the most dedicated base is getting squeezed hardest.
That’s the truth without padding.

@imagine What is going on with Grok Imagine? Why am I rate limited? I'm a PAYING Grok Super user, i live in Denmark and the rate limits are horrible. Today i couldn't even upload and edit 1 (ONE) single picture before it saids "Rate limit reached upgrade to supergrok heavy.." ???!!!
