I don’t believe the OKC Boozer rumor, just because OKC doesn’t let stuff leak. But if Presti likes Boozer, that tells me I’m not off in my analysis of how good Boozer can be.

@HalftimeHotline Yep. Defense was so good at UConn. I had him number 1 on my board that year.

@Wiz_Weekly Hopefully people are actually watching college ball and not going off stats alone, because he was already an elite defender at UCONN. With jis size, dog, and athletecism...it would've been an easy pick. Should've went #1 that year.

Stephon Castle only had a 1.8 STL% in college and is playing incredible defense on the league MVP right now Getting stocks is important, but defense is so much more than that and you have to watch the games to see the other stuff

The Spurs defense is fascinating to me. They just plant Wemby as the low man around the rim and then pre-switch and communicate to keep him there. It’s almost like a zone since Wemby isn’t really even guarding anyone. Gotta be difficult to execute but they do it so well.

@WonzoTV Also just love the idea of him and Tre Johnson playing together off the bench. Their skillsets are very complementary and I think they would demolish second units.

@WonzoTV Completely agree. We need guards that touch the paint and he does that at an elite level. +7.4 relative true shooting in creation playtypes last year despite having an outlier bad 3 point shooting season. He’s so slept on and fills a need for us next season.

@NoClueIsTheBest I do think the arc is kinda broken. It’s really flat (not sure if you’d count that as mechanics) but other than that yes I agree the form looks good and repeatable. I think he’ll improve the question is just how much?

@Wiz_Weekly Given that he's been working with the guy who fixed Egor Demin's shot + there doesn't seem to be anything mechanically broken with the shot, I expect that he will turn into a 40% 3 point shooter at some point in his career.

@Moochaveli Yep I agree with all that. Again, their play styles are different but the combination of strength, skill, and processing is there for sure (which is how you can overcome a lack of athleticism)

@Wiz_Weekly Plus the IQ/processing/playmaking is very similar.

@Free_Thinking1 Yeah no I get what you’re saying. They definitely don’t play alike at all. Just saying the narratives are similar and I think Cam should be in the discussion at 1 more than it seems like he is.

However, I don’t think teams will necessarily regret passing on Boozer the way the Kings and Suns regret passing on Luka because AJ/DP are higher level prospects than Ayton/Bagley. But the narratives surrounding Boozer are eerily similar to the way people talked about Luka.

Mitch Johnson talks about Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: "You talking about Shai's free throws ???? I think probably half of them were from us being undisciplined first off the floor. He got us out of position and took advantage of it. Those 12 free throws helped out a lot and I can remember at least a few in my head right now that were undisciplined on our end"

I usually like how aggressive the Spurs are on defense but their perimeter defenders were straight up reckless tonight. They fouled the Thunder on like 10 of their jump shots and were just way too handsy. You have Wemby in the paint! No need to bail them out with this many fouls

@shoooobb @NoClueIsTheBest I think an unprotected first would do it especially with the new lottery rules but I’d be trying to make it like a top 3-4 protected pick and idk if that gets it done.

@NoClueIsTheBest @Wiz_Weekly i don’t think it will be but it depends on okc’s feelings at the range bc they don’t have enough roster spots but you never know

@shoooobb We’re seeing it in these playoffs where teams still want to switch actions at the end of games. Getting a big like Morez next to Sarr would allow us to do that while not sacrificing size and rebounding.

@shoooobb I also just love the idea of Morez playing next to Sarr. Both can legitimately switch onto guards and I think there’s a good chance Morez shoots it well from 3. He also makes up for some of Sarr’s deficiencies as a rebounder.
