It’s hard to trust our fanbase’s judgement, esp in recent times. Fans wrote open letters to keep Ten Hag after a dire 2nd season. Then fully backed Amorim despite 15th, the cup final loss & Grimsby. So many opposing Carrick after UCL⚽️ is exactly why we should stick with him imo.

Chelsea fans can’t banter Carrick. Liverpool fans can’t banter Carrick. Arsenal fans can’t banter Carrick. Man City fans can’t banter Carrick. Because he beat & humbled all of them. It’s sad to see rival fans scared of Carrick, while United fans are busy mocking our own gaffer.

🚨🔴 Marcus Rashford has reportedly made a major decision after hearing that Michael Carrick is expected to become Manchester United’s new head coach. 👀🔥 Sources close to the England international claim Rashford is now open to a sensational return to Old Trafford, believing Carrick could be the man to bring the best out of him once again. It is understood Rashford has been closely following Carrick’s progress and is said to be excited by the possibility of working under the former Manchester United midfielder. Those close to the forward believe Carrick’s style, trust in young players, and understanding of the club could help Rashford rediscover his confidence and top form. Rashford reportedly still has a deep love for Manchester United and would be willing to give everything for the badge if given a fresh opportunity under Carrick. 👀 Could Michael Carrick be the key to bringing back the old Marcus Rashford at Old Trafford?

@MelissaReddy_ And what are Iraola, Naglesmann, Luis Enrique Xavi? Just say you like Carrick and are happy he got the job. No need to justify it using delusional takes.

Michael Carrick set to get the job on a permanent basis as expected. The perfect choice? Doesn’t exist. Ideal choice? There isn’t one available. It is a logical one and right for what Manchester United need in the context of where they are now, and where they’ve been in recent history. The most important thing is to have really strong recruitment again, which happened last summer after a change in how the club profiles players. As with Cunha and Mbeumo, expect to see more recruits from the league whose numbers are among the best in Europe, are robust with high availability, good age, and are strong characters who want responsibility. Priorities: Two midfielders, a left winger, left-back, a centre-back and adding proper quality in depth
Melissa Reddy@MelissaReddy_

Michael Carrick delivered Champions League football and dethroned Manchester United as the ‘crisis club’. It’s been bewildering to see the club’s former players knock a man who has brought wins, stability, togetherness and transformed the feel of the place. And no, it’s not like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer again. bymelissareddy.substack.com/p/michael-carr…

@Oluchi_Utd Delusion. We have been playing average football with 1 game a week & you expect us to be magically elite with an inexperienced manager when we play 2 games a week. Pure delusion.

Manchester United will not be twerking for any club in the EPL or UCL next season. Small clubs enter Europe hoping to survive the group stage, we enter expecting the continent to feel our presence. History doesn’t disappear because of a few bad seasons. With Michael Carrick and our new signings, we’ll win it all. The giant is waking up, rivals already feeling uncomfortable. 🔥

@StatmanDave I'm banning Baleba from Old Trafford. Buying Anderson & Fernandes. But this list is shit. We need Tchuomeni & Tonali with maybe a Fernandes or Wharton as backup.

@ImpressionistAL Amorim was the worst manager in united history but he was 5th when he got sacked. Carrick has done good to steady the ship but has shown nothing to convince anyone that he can develop a style of play other than 'vibes are good' & that he can do it with 2 games a week. Simple.

It’s not in poor taste whatsoever because these agendas are now becoming gimmicks, there’s a vast majority of these fans on this cesspit of an app who are genuinely embodying Daniel Day Lewis’ style of method acting in wanting the club to fail at every turn. And the proof is in the pudding with Carrick’s full time appointment today. Ole (Who I loved) finished 6th in his caretaker period, finishing 3rd in his second season. We were 15th last season and Carrick has come in and steadied the ship without a transfer window and secured Champions League Football, but it’s all “vibes and favouritism” isn’t it?
Mark Goldbridge@markgoldbridge

That's really poor Al.....if you don't want Carrick to be manager doesn't mean your not a fan. Could flip it the other way and say if you do you're a Glazerite. I'd rather say can see both sides and respect opinions. That's the beauty of football.

@ammandev Nobody? Not Luis Enrique, not Naglesmann, not Iraola, not even Zidane? Carrick must be a tactical genius then. I've heard Real Madrid & Barcelona wanted to pay him $1B but he refused. What a guy...

All you Carrick out haters better go support another club, because United are going to announce he's getting the permanent job. He should get everyone's full backing, especially with our owners pulling the strings.

@FPL__Raptor The players want him to stay is one of the reasons he shouldn't get the job. Now we want player power to run the club?

I know there are lots of differing opinions on this, but I think it’s the correct decision. He has done an incredible job, results have been excellent and a lot of positive signs. He has also succeeded at bringing together a group of players that have caused previous managers massive issues, and they seem to be much more cohesive now. There are of course negatives to his short tenure, it has been far from perfect, but you’ll do well to find someone that would have done a better job than him this season. And importantly, the players want him to stay! Happy to see him given a chance, just hope it isn’t a silly length contract and that he’s backed in the transfer market wisely.
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano

🚨💣 Manchester United and Michael Carrick are set to continue together next season and beyond. Chances increasing for weeks as reported and everyone at #MUFC feels he should stay. Players, management, everyone on same page. Next step: talks to final stages and new deal.
