@dgoold I have felt more sorry for Oli this season, realizing how much his hands are tied by Mo and DeWitt. But having said that, I think Oli should go too. Bring in an experienced field manager that the front office respects and will listen to. Teammates now feel the need to speak out.

@101espn @katiejwoo A lot. Definitely a different approach at the plate. Most notably with two strikes and driving the ball to the opposite field and up the middle. He’s even convinced Nado to do this. (Instead of just trying to pull everything!) Now if he can help Walker and Winn.

@vol_man12 @miklasz Exactly correct. A waste to carry a third catcher for as rare as this would happen. Before we had a third catcher, I think it happened once in the first 33 games. ONCE.

@miklasz Even in the case of pinch hitting for Knizner, so what just do it and lose the DH for the last couple of innings. Shouldn’t be running through all your bench anyway with having a DH, so should be position players available to pinch hit for the pitcher if that slot comes around.

Because they want to be able to pinch-hit for Knizner when he starts at catcher and Contreras is at DH. The DH can move to a position during a game but his team forfeits the role of designated hitter. Here’s the solution: start contreras at catcher more often than they have.

Knizner better start calling a better game … because we all know it’s not the pitcher’s fault!

IMO: No matter what happens today in the Atlantic or East, I believe the first 4 seeds in Cary are set. The way I see it is: No. 1 @NGUBaseball No. 2 @angeloathletics No. 3 @PLNUSeaLions No. 4 @MuleriderSports If @snhupenmen holds on, they make a strong case for No. 4.
