This is what the Act you would scrap makes platforms do: • Detect and remove horrific child sexual abuse material, using hash-matching. • Prevent grooming and stop strange adults messaging kids. • Keep children’s profiles and locations hidden. • Stop kids seeing porn.

@The_AVPA @Jess4Lowestoft except you'd need to establish it's children doing it and not adults that don't trust she verification companies. Meanwhile, young people will just end up using alternative sites; like this one.

@Jess4Lowestoft Kids don't stumble on porn on pornography sites, they find porn right here on twitter, or by using Google Image. Or their elder sibling's stored images. If an eight year old can even get to an actual porn site it's because they know what it is called, they didn't misclick.

@Jess4Lowestoft Hi, I'm one of your constituents. I know that verification companies are prime targets for hackers now. Fake age verification companies almost certainly exist already. And it takes ten seconds to download a vpn browser. I'm nearly 50. Kids know more about tech than you or I.
