@WoketoVote @apotrc these accounts are mostly bots that elmo is buying to try to stop his website from dying using propaganda. but what elmo doesn’t understand is that this propaganda is why people are leaving.

@AndrewPerpetua And that’s why you are posting this announcement here? That’s pretty lame, isn’t it?! If it would be dying, you could simply leave and expect everybody to follow you on whatever platform.

What I’m hearing privately from a few key GOP senators: yes, they’d prefer to not have a messy fight over Gaetz. Not their favorite. But they also don’t have a lot of energy for pushing back. Trump runs the show, they say. If Gaetz can reassure them, they’re open to backing him.

I'm not going to count them as losses, but in case you're curious, Ukraine lost 2 war bicycles today.

Pathetic. Even if Scholz sincerely believed appeasing Russia was good for Germany, this has now been comprehensively refuted. The war has escalated anyway, but on Putin's terms, because Scholz and others have rejected deterrence and allowing Ukraine to strike back.
Hans von der Burchard@vonderburchard

Scholz drags Ukraine in his election campaign, framing himself as the “prudent” peace chancellor who avoided “escalation” (must sound absurd to Ukrainians). ”I repeat: I‘m against allowing to fire weapons supplied by us far into Russia. I won’t change my position on [Taurus].“

@berlin_bridge @Bundeskanzler He did fine. You just ignore what went on in the world the last 5 years. Stop your disinformation, it’s coming from Russia.

Scholz will not change his position. But we will change his position: from @Bundeskanzler to ‘former Chancellor and least popular Chancellor of Germany in the history of the Federal Republic, who presided over an era of domestic and foreign policy fiasco’

⚡️ Chancellor Scholz: "I am against the fact that the weapons supplied by us can be fired far into Russian territory and will not change my position regarding the delivery of a cruise missile from Germany."

I'm struck by the analyses of several intelligent commentators to the effect that a big reason for the election result was voters' rejection of a Dem woke agenda, eg rights for trans people and pronouns. That was basically 0% of the Harris-Walz campaign.

I take (possibly forlorn) hope in the fact that although Trump is a mendacious, malevolent, transparently evil man, and stupid with it, Musk is not. He is highly intelligent and, diametrically opposed to Trump, he has the welfare of the world at heart. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

@RichardDawkins You’re wrong, Musk is deranged and wants to be idolised. He’s not intelligent, he just won the lottery twice.

The thing I am struggling with is Joe Biden has just as much immunity as Trump does. Why won’t he use some political capital and executive power to save this fucking country?

NEW: Dems must drop their tendency for campus affinity groups and lingo. It's alienating to many - and not just the MAGA crowd. Yes, "latinx" but also "uplift," center as a verb and more. Rs have banned books, Ds should have banned words and phrases My column: politico.com/news/magazine/…

What angers me most is that Democrats are quote literally capitulating to an incoming dictatorship and his destructive authoritarian regime without so much as a shout. They are just handing over the keys to the US govt and telling us it’s all going to be okay.
